Handling
Storage
Immediately flush with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes while removing contaminated
clothing and shoes. Get medical attention immediately. Wash contaminated clothing before reuse.
Destroy or thoroughly clean contaminated shoes.
If symptomatic, move to fresh air. Get medical attention if symptoms persist.
Call a physician or poison control center immediately. DO NOT induce vomiting. If victim is fully
conscious, give a cupful of water. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. If
vomiting occurs, keep head lower than the hips to help prevent aspiration.
Treat symptomatically.
Components
Ethylene glycol N-butyl
ether (111-76-2)
Oxalic acid (144-62-7)
Ensure adequate ventilation. Wear suitable protective clothing. See Section 8 of the MSDS for
Personal Protective Equipment.
Collect and dispose of spillage as indicated in Section 13 of the MSDS.
Eliminate all ignition sources. Dike the spilled material, where this is possible. Prevent entry into
waterways, sewer, basements or confined areas.
Large Spills: Dike far ahead of liquid spill for later recovery and disposal. Use a non-combustible
material like vermiculite, sand or earth to soak up the product and place into a container for later
disposal.
Small Spills: Wipe up with absorbent material (e.g. cloth, fleece).
Never return spills to original containers for re-use. Following product recovery, flush area with
water. Clean surface thoroughly to remove residual contamination.
Clean up in accordance with all applicable regulations.
Do not get in eyes and avoid contact with skin and clothing. Avoid breathing mist or vapor. Use
only with adequate ventilation. Wash thoroughly after handling. Observe good industrial hygiene
practices.
Keep container tightly closed and in a well-ventilated place. Store in closed original container at
room temperature. Store away from incompatible materials.
