Shrimati Vijaylakshmi Pandit addressing the integration of Mankind Day
in the Manav Kendra.
Mrs_ Vijayalaksbmi Pandit,
former President of IJ. N. O. said.
"foday we claim'to be a ffee people
I bave not seen that freedom so far.
üur freedorn consists of get ing rid
of foreign Government and taking
tbe reins of tbe GovernmeDt in our
bands. That is not freedom in tbe
eyes of God. It is tbe inner freedom,
wheD man develops tbe power
that enables hirn to see alt mankind
as ODe and not to discri minate
between man and man and to serve
all mankind and find his fulfilment
aod deveJopment in selftess service.
That would be real freedom. What
is the purpose of Manav Kendra?
1t is anly tbis tbat those who corne
hefe shQuld koow and uDderstaod
that we are all ooe. Love is tbe
core aod the very foundation of
religion . And that love sbould not
be eonfined to one or two indivi·
duals but sbould embrace all maDk
iod. I would say oDly this that
wh at you aU learn here you should
spread this teachiDg far and wide
so that the great mission for wbich
Mabaraj ji is giving his wb oie life
and breatb sbould find fulfiiment
in bis lifetime. If you throw a
