1. Dr. Madhavrao Chitale (Chairman from 2006 to 2009)<br />
Meritorious student throughout the career. Passed Matric exam with Second<br />
Rank in Bombay University. Passed B.E. (Civil). Worked for Government<br />
department r+esponsible for building of Dams and development of Water<br />
Management system. Chairman CWC from 1985 to 1989, secretary Water<br />
Resources Ministry, Government of India from 1989 to 1992, Secretary<br />
General ICID. Due to his excellent oratory and Knowledge of subject he is<br />
invited for lectures in India and abroad. Well known for his hard work,<br />
sincerity, honesty, integrity and disciplined life.<br />
2. Shri. Vivek Sawant (Chairman from 2009 onwards)<br />
Managing Director and Co-Founder of MKCL, Lecturer in Ferguson College<br />
from 1979 to 1987, Deputy Director of Symbiosi’s Institute of Computer<br />
Studies and Research from 1987-1988, Joined C-Dac and developed PARAM<br />
Super Computers, Director I 2 IT (Hope Foundation) between 2000-2002.<br />
Served on various National/State level <strong>Committee</strong>s including the Prime<br />
Minister’s IT Task Force. Honorary fellow of Maharashtra Academy of<br />
Sciences. Conferred with – Dnyanasurya Award, Rotary’s young recipient and Vocational<br />
Excellence Award, C-DACs awards of Honours and Distinction, Maharashtra IT Award in HRD, 2004.<br />
CSIs Yashokeerti Award. Was nominated for World Technology Network Award in <strong>Education</strong>.<br />
3. Prof. B. M. Naik<br />
B.E. Civil, M.E. (Germany), worked as Principal, SGGS college of Engineering,<br />
Nanded (1983-1999), Professor IIPA, Delhi. At university level Chairman BOS,<br />
Member of Academic Council and Dean Engineering. Member of various<br />
committees appointed by UGC, AICTE, and Government of Maharashtra.<br />
Presented papers at International conferences in various countries.<br />
Published 2 books and over 80 papers. Currently working as consultant for<br />
Quality Management. Innovation Center and Intellectual Property Rights.<br />
4. Shri. N. A. Joshi<br />
Superintending Engineer, Chief Engineer, Director-Technical and Technical<br />
Member of Board. After retirement Technical Advisor to Board. Visited<br />
many countries in connection with Power Development and study. Published<br />
papers at National and International level. Also Guest faculty for CME Pune<br />
and Engineering Staff college of India, Hydrabad.
5. Dr. D. G. Hapse<br />
B.Sc. (Agri.), M.Sc (Agri.) from Pune University and Ph.D. (Plant Philosophy),<br />
Penn State University. Vast experience in Sugarcane Production and<br />
Management. Director, Vasantdada Sugar Institute (VSI), Pune for 8 yrs.<br />
Sugarcane specialist at MP Agriculture University, Chairman of Research<br />
<strong>Advisory</strong> <strong>Committee</strong>, Vice President of Deccan Sugar Technologist Association,<br />
Pune since 1977. Written 5 books, 188 research papers and more than 260<br />
popular articals.<br />
6. Dr. U. N. Gaitonde<br />
Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, IIT Bombay. Passed B.Tech.<br />
and Ph.D. (Mechanical) from the same Institute. Field of specialization in<br />
thermodynamics, Heat transfer and Energy Conservation. Since 1980 works<br />
with IITB, seven doctorate and 50 Master’s thesis supervised. Worked as Head<br />
MED, Professor-in-Charge Alumni affairs and Chairman GATE 1995.<br />
7. Dr. D. M. More<br />
Born in Agriculture rural family. Graduated in Civil Engineering from<br />
University of Pune securing first rank and gold medal. Joined irrigation<br />
department of Government of Maharashtra & served in various capacities.<br />
Managed the work of Maharashtra Water & Irrigation Commission in capacity<br />
of Chief Engineer & Secretary and drafted commission voluminous reports<br />
(2000+ pages). Handled Inter state River Valley project and received Vanashri<br />
Award. Associated with several professional organizations like Sinchan<br />
Sahayog, Eitihas Panchayat, Vidya Parishad etc.<br />
8. Dr. Vijay Bhatkar<br />
B.E. from Nagpur University (1965), M.E. from M.S. University (1969),<br />
Baroda, Ph.D. from IIT Delhi (1972). Dr. Bhatkar is founder & first Executive<br />
Director of C-DAC. He develop the PARAM Super Computers. Currently he<br />
is Chairman of the Board of Dishnet DSL. He is the recipient of Padmashri,<br />
Maharashtra Bhushan, Lokmanya Tolak Award, Electronic Man of the year,<br />
Priyadarshani
