Right On Spring John Gourlay Jazz Orchestra Composed 1997 The title was suggested by the dedicatee because of the similarity between one of its phrases and the opening of a piece by a well known Russian composer. “Right On Spring” is dedicated to Richard Michael (jazzer, teacher, composer and friend to all who love music) who directed the first performance by the National Youth Jazz Orchestra of Scotland.
