WELCOME
Nordtangen, situated 70 kilometres
north of Oslo, is an idyllic and charming
place ideal for camping and outdoor
activities. The grounds were bought in
1946 and has since then been enjoyed by
the spirit of thousands of scouts. As
scouting in Norway in general is based
on voluntary work, Nordtangen likewise
is managed by volunteers. We aim to
preserve Nordtangens special atmosphere
while constantly developing the
grounds and buildings to keep up with
visitors ever changing expectations.
The landscape around the campsite
offers a wide range of activities. At
Nordtangen you can plan activities in
the forest, on open grassland or by the
lake. You may even undertake a small
expedition to the bird sanctuary. Hikes
and excursions are of course easily
arranged, and will broaden the experience
of the stay at Nordtangen.
