TS-ROCK MINERAL WOOL SLAB<br />

Standards<br />

TS-<strong>Rock</strong> <strong>Mineral</strong> <strong>Wool</strong> <strong>Slab</strong> is made from non-combustible inorganic rock mineral wool,<br />

defined as mineral wool in BS 3533: 1981 and is manufactured in accordance with BS EN<br />

13162: 2008 and BSI Quality Assurance Standard BS EN ISO 9001: 2000.<br />

Fire performance<br />

TS-<strong>Rock</strong> <strong>Mineral</strong> <strong>Wool</strong> <strong>Slab</strong> is Euroclass A1 to BS EN ISO 13501-1. In the event of fire TS-<br />

<strong>Rock</strong> <strong>Mineral</strong> <strong>Wool</strong> <strong>Slab</strong> will emit negligible quantities of smoke and fumes, the heat emission<br />

from the product is insignificant.<br />

Durability<br />

TS-<strong>Rock</strong> <strong>Mineral</strong> <strong>Wool</strong> <strong>Slab</strong> is non-hygroscopic and is treated to ensure its water repellency.<br />

It is odourless, rot proof, does not sustain vermin and will not encourage the growth of fungi,<br />

mould or bacteria.<br />

Environmental<br />

TS-<strong>Rock</strong> <strong>Mineral</strong> <strong>Wool</strong> <strong>Slab</strong> is free from CFCs, HCFCs and any other material with ozone<br />

depletion potential in its manufacture and content and represents no known threat to the<br />

environment. TS-<strong>Rock</strong> <strong>Mineral</strong> <strong>Wool</strong> <strong>Slab</strong> has a Global Warming Potential of zero.<br />

Moisture resistance<br />

TS-<strong>Rock</strong> <strong>Mineral</strong> <strong>Wool</strong> <strong>Slab</strong> contains a water repellent additive to ensure that no liquid water<br />

is able to pass through the slab and reach the substrate during installation and construction.<br />

Handling and storage<br />

TS-<strong>Rock</strong> <strong>Mineral</strong> <strong>Wool</strong> <strong>Slab</strong> is easy to handle and install, being lightweight and easily cut<br />

to size. TS-<strong>Rock</strong> <strong>Mineral</strong> <strong>Wool</strong> <strong>Slab</strong> is supplied in polythene packs, stacked on pallets for<br />

temporary protection during transit or on site. For longer term outside storage (stock or site)<br />

the pallets should be stored under a secure waterproof covering.<br />
