What are our responsibilities and obligations as a man in today’s society? Through Bible study, we begin to learn what God intends for us in every aspect of life—as workers, leaders, fathers, sons and husbands. Regardless of age or background, there’s a place for you at the table. Come explore with us. We enjoy lively discussions about the Bible and its application to our daily lives. Several in the class facilitate the discussions. We are challenged to live beyond ourselves and to serve others. We especially enjoy celebrating life events with each other such as graduations, weddings and the birth of grandchildren. We keep in touch with each other through fellowship events beyond the classroom. We are predominantly a couples class with college age and young adult children, but we’re not limited by that! Adventurers Cokesbury 206 Monty Peffley, 985-643-3514 monty@peffley.org In our studies, we seek to live by the <strong>Methodist</strong> credo “we think, and let think.” We strive to be accepting, thoughtful and attentive to beliefs different from our own, in order to show God’s love to others, and to open ourselves to personal growth. In our seeking, we look to the Wesleyan quadrilateral—scripture, reason, tradition, and experience to form and ground our beliefs. Our class consists of men, women, young, young-at-heart, married, single and single again. We cover a range of topics from traditional Bible study to practical theology works. Recent studies include several books by Adam Hamilton, Toxic Charity by Robert Lupton, and Your God is Too Small by J.B. Phillips. We do not neglect the “three F’s” of Food, Fun and Fellowship. We minister to each other in a loving supportive atmosphere, and we strive to extend that ministry to others through service and love. We welcome you to join us.
