Financial Course Descriptions Assistance VA BENEFITS Veterans will receive VA benefits for accredited courses offered by Knowledge Systems Institute, as approved by the Department of Veterans’ Affairs of the State of Illinois. Knowledge Systems Institute has been approved by the State of Illinois, Department of Veterans Affairs to accept the Montgomery GI Bill for those active duty personnel of the Armed Forces wishing to pursue or enhance their education. 38

Specific policies and requirements may change, please see the current student handbook available on KSI’s website at www.ksi.edu/studenthandbook.pdf GENERAL REGULATIONS Approval The approval to grant Master of Science degrees to qualified candidates is conferred to Knowledge Systems Institute by the Board of Higher Education of the State of Illinois. This school is authorized under Federal Law to request SEVIS I-20 and enroll nonimmigrant international students. Non-Discrimination Policy Knowledge Systems Institute admits students of any race, color, religion, national or ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at this school. Time Schedule The academic year at Knowledge Systems Institute consists of the Fall, Spring and Summer semesters. The fall and spring semesters are sixteen weeks in duration. The summer term is twelve weeks in duration. Classes are scheduled from 9:30 am to 9:30 pm during weekdays and from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm on Saturdays. The Instructional Computer Laboratory is open during normal school hours. Holidays New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas. Academic Calendar KSI reserves the right to change dates, offerings or requirements without notice with the assurance to concerned parties that such changes will not alter the integrity or continuity of programs offered. 39 ACADEMIC INTEGRITY POLICY Student Obligations Academic integrity is one of the primary expectations all academic institutions require of their members. At Knowledge Systems Institute, a student violates academic integrity when he/she participates in one of the following: cheating, plagiarism, deceitful practice and/or unauthorized collaboration.
