Appendix No.3<br />

Road Safety Authority – Approved <strong>Training</strong> Centers <strong>for</strong> Driving Instructor<br />

<strong>Training</strong> using the approved Syllabus - Terms and Conditions<br />

1. If a training centre fails to comply with these terms and conditions, the <strong>RSA</strong> may<br />

remove or suspend the approval status <strong>of</strong> the training centre with<br />

immediate effect.<br />

2. Only those centres approved <strong>for</strong> delivery <strong>of</strong> the approved training syllabus are<br />

entitled to advertise their training provision as approved by the <strong>RSA</strong> <strong>for</strong> Driving<br />

Instructors.<br />

3. Approved <strong>Training</strong> <strong>Centres</strong> must provide the training <strong>for</strong> all three parts <strong>of</strong> the <strong>ADI</strong><br />

qualifying examination.<br />

4. <strong>Training</strong> <strong>Centres</strong> must not continue to use the <strong>RSA</strong> branding in adverting after the<br />

approval period has lapsed. The <strong>Training</strong> Centre must apply at least three months<br />

prior to the final date <strong>of</strong> the approval period to ensure that the re-approval process<br />

is complete in advance <strong>of</strong> the termination <strong>of</strong> the initial approval period<br />

5. Only those centres approved <strong>for</strong> <strong>ADI</strong> <strong>Training</strong> are entitled to use the <strong>RSA</strong>’s <strong>ADI</strong> logo<br />

to advertise their courses in accordance with the <strong>RSA</strong> <strong>ADI</strong> branding guidelines.<br />

6. <strong>Training</strong> centres must provide a single named contact responsible <strong>for</strong> the<br />

application. This must be the Principal <strong>of</strong> the establishment seeking approval.<br />

7. The Principal <strong>of</strong> the centre must sign a copy <strong>of</strong> this document signifying their<br />

acceptance <strong>of</strong> these Terms and Conditions on behalf <strong>of</strong> the training centre.<br />

8. Applications <strong>for</strong> approval must be made in writing using the application <strong>for</strong>m.<br />

9. The Approved Centre must have a written procedure <strong>for</strong> dealing with complaints<br />

and refunds and must demonstrate how their cl<strong>ie</strong>nts are in<strong>for</strong>med <strong>of</strong> both <strong>of</strong><br />

these issues.<br />

10. The Approved Centre must have a specif<strong>ie</strong>d business address (P.O. Boxes and mailing<br />

addresses are not acceptable <strong>for</strong> use in the list <strong>of</strong> approved centres) where training<br />

records are kept securely and <strong>for</strong> a period <strong>of</strong> at least six years.<br />
