• In the last few years, Airbus sites
and workforce have expanded in
response to growing market
demand for its aircraft, with total
energy consumption therefore
increasing by six percent
between 2004 and 2005.
However, when assessed
against levels of production,total
energy consumption actually
dropped by five percent, which
was mainly due to widespread
energy-saving measures across
the sites,including technological
improvements in the production
process and employee training
programmes
