Dominator. The new Dominator
line features the most radical
departure from high efficiency air
filter designs of the past. Featuring
lightweight all plastic construction, it
exceeds LEED/Green’s requirement
of MERV 13. The LEED ® (Leadership
in Energy and Environmental Design)
Green Building Rating System is a
voluntary, consensus-based program
for developing high-performance,
sustainable buildings. Based on wellfounded
scientific standards, LEED
emphasizes state
of the art strategies
for sustainable site
development, water
savings, energy
efficiency, materials
selection and indoor
environmental
quality. Although
USGBC does not
certify, promote,
or endorse products
and services of individual
companies, products like the
Dominator air filter do play a role in
increasing energy efficiency and can
help projects with credit achievement.
Purolator Dominator
The Dominator is a Class 1 MERV 15
(Standard 52.2 Minimum Efficiency
Reporting Value) high efficiency rigid
cell extended surface air filter product
with extremely low initial resistance
characteristics. MERV 15 is hospital
compliant for full patient care. The
DOMINATOR will help you
increase your overall filter efficiency,
exceed LEED requirements and
maintain or lower your energy costs.
Purolator Serva-Cell 2VS
The Serva-Cell 2VS High Efficiency
Extended Surface Mini-Pleat Filter is
Purolator Dominator varieties.
Purolator Serva-Cell 2VS.
a Class 1 MERV 13 & 14 product. Its
all plastic construction with no metal
components is fully incinerable. The
Serva-Cell 2VS is made from high
strength, high impact polystyrene
plastic aiding in rust and corrosion
prevention. Ideal for most demanding
installations, including variable air
volume, high air flow, turbulence,
repeated fan shutdown, high moisture
and some chemical and corrosive
conditions. The Serva-Cell 2VS offers
lower resistance levels than traditional
medium efficiency products enhancing
energy savings and its light weight
feature will make the installation
process faster and easier.
Purolator Mark 7
Purolator also announced their
medium efficiency Mark 7 Self
Supported
Pleated
Panel Filter.
Although
it does
not meet
LEED/Green
requirements,
it is an excellent
prefilter for
Purolator Mark 7.

or Serva-Call 2VS. The Mark 7 pleat
is manufactured with 100% synthetic
media and achieves a MERV 7
mechanical efficiency. In addition the
Mark 7 pleat has no metal backing or
components and is fully incinerable.
