The NBCRS provides nuclear and chemical sampling, detection, and warning equipment and biological sampling equipment integrated into a high speed, high mobility, armored carrier capable of
performing reconnaissance on primary, secondary, and cross-country routes wherever combat forces are deployed. The system contains a vehicle-mounted surface sampler, mobile mass
spectrometer, chemical agent monitor, chemical agent detector alarm, radiation detection device, navigation system, secure communications, area marking and collective protection.
