(MOLINE, ILL.) -- The United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) celebrated three Hispanic chambers from across the nation for their accomplishments, contributions and commitment to raising the profile of Hispanic-owned business and helping them compete through resources, education and awareness. "This year's winners demonstrate a deep commitment to the future of Hispanic entrepreneurship," said Javier Palomarez, USHCC CEO and President. "They are a great example of local chambers working to improve the nation's economic recovery and showcasing the great impact of Hispanic-owned businesses in their own backyard. Today, we are honored to pay tribute to them." The recipients were honored during the USHCC's 33rd Annual National Convention in Los Angeles, the country's largest gathering of Hispanic business leaders and entrepreneurs. The Small Hispanic Chamber of the Year Award was presented to the Greater Quad Cities Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (GQCHCC), which was started in 2008 to support and promote new business opportunities for Hispanic-owned business in the Quad Cities and surrounding areas in Illinois and Iowa. Today, the chamber has close to 200 members and offers programs like a multicultural speaker series and mixers, workshops and webinars.
