Subject : Results at a glance<br />

The Result of IAS Phase-I Final Examination, held in June, 2013 in this Academy in respect<br />

of the IAS Officer-trainees of 2012 batch, has been finalised and is ready for notification.<br />

A scrutiny of the results reveals the following facts :-<br />

1. Initially 171 Officer-trainees of 2012 batch including 03 Officer-trainees of Royal Bhutan Service<br />

joined IAS Professional Course (Phase-I).<br />

2. Officer-Trainees have cleared the Examination.<br />

3. The Part-I (The IAS Probationers’ Final Examination) was in respect of the following five<br />

subjects, carrying the maximum marks as shown against them :-<br />

(i) Public Administration : 60<br />

(ii) Basic Economic Principles and Five Year Plans : 60<br />

(iii) Management and Behavioural Science : 60<br />

(iv) Law : 60<br />

(v) Political Concepts and Constitution of India : 60<br />

4. The IAS Probationers’ Final Examination has another component, which is described as “Part-II<br />

Qualifying Test”. It relates to General Hindi Examination by Probationers allotted to Non-Hindi<br />

Speaking States and Computer. Only IAS Probationers took the General Hindi Examination and<br />

probationers passed the Hindi exam and IAS Probationers including 02 RBCS Probationers<br />

took Computer Module Examination and passed it.<br />

Note : The pass marks in each paper are fixed at 50% i.e. an officer-trainee has to secure at<br />

least 50% in each paper in order to be declared as having passed therein. I am happy to<br />

declare that pass percentage at the examination is 98.83 %.<br />

5. Pass percentage, calculated on the basis of 171, comes to out of 171 Officer-trainees two<br />

officer-trainees from Royal Bhutan Service for whose passing the examination are obligatory.<br />

6. The Officer-trainees who have ranked 1 st , 2 nd and 3 rd in each of the five subjects are named<br />

below<br />
