SECTION N – ROAD ACCESS STANDARDS
Road Access Standards
- If the roadway serves more than 2 single-family dwellings, the roadway shall
be a minimum of 24 feet in width improved over 28 feet graded.
- Where the roadway access serves no more than 2 single-family dwellings, which
cannot be further subdivided, the minimum roadway width shall be 16 feet with a
minimum graded width of 20 feet.
- If the existing road easement is 20 feet or less in width, than the roadway
width may be reduced to 20 feet minimum improved over 24 feet graded.
Parking
- Where the roadway is 24 to 28 feet in width, ‘No Parking’ signs shall be posted.
In these areas, if there is a curb, it shall be painted red.
Vegetation Along Roadways
- Roadways and or driveways shall be cleared of combustible vegetation the width
of the roadway plus 10 feet on either side of the roadway.
- Vegetation above the roadway (vertical clearance) must be cleared a minimum of
13.5 feet.
