In conclusion<br />

• Over the past decades, expenditure on both healthcare and<br />

<strong>medical</strong> <strong>technology</strong> has <strong>in</strong>creased significantly.<br />

• However, the proportion of healthcare expenditure spent on <strong>medical</strong><br />

<strong>technology</strong> is still relatively small, and has rema<strong>in</strong>ed more or less<br />

constant.<br />

• Over the past decades, great improvements <strong>in</strong> health among the<br />

population have taken place, that suggests that the benefits of<br />

<strong>medical</strong> <strong>technology</strong> far outweigh its costs.<br />

• Medical Technology Industry is the home of technological disruptive<br />

<strong>in</strong>novations or “enablers”– much needed solutions for healthcare<br />

challenges.<br />
