offering that delivers the presence of a big small 

car. It’s dramatic, dynamic styling expresses 

GM’s global design language. 


Front 

A well-planted stance is enabled 

by front and rear tracks of 1544(mm) 

and 1558(mm), and a wheelbase 

of 2685(mm). 

The next-generation dual-port 

grille carries a chrome crossbar 

cue with a centre-positioned, large 

Holden emblem. 

Large, expressive dynamically 

shaped headlamps with a dual 

bezel design enable an upscale 

appearance. 

A strong, sculpted bonnet 

element accentuates a dynamic, 

refined statement. 

The swept windshield ensures 

enhanced aerodynamics and

(that houses the infotainment display, 

radio and HVAC controls) eliminates 

traditional “picture framing” of 

interfaces, resulting in a contemporary, 

highly refined look: 

– All knobs, buttons and interfaces 

incorporate a chrome-surround 

accent finish and are ambient 

back-lit with light-emitting diode 

(LED) technology. 

– Vertically shaped centre HVAC 

outlets carry a vein design 

with rubberized, tuned thumb-rollers 

and chrome accents for air 

direction adjustment. 

– The integrated centre stack 

flows seamlessly into the centre 

console, shifter and then the 

centre armrest, helping to enable 

the dual cockpit design. 

A three-gauge instrument cluster 

(analogue speedometer, tachometer, 

fuel and temperature gauges) is 

dramatically absent of black voids and 

contains LED backlighting in clear ice 

blue illumination for a very sporty and 

technical appearance. 

A centre-positioned, seven-line, driver

and high. They are designed for quick 

warm-up and use an electronically 

controlled heat pad integrated into 

the seat cushion and back.

on both CD and CDX models.

Standard power door locks are 

automatic and programmable. 

Delayed entry and exit interior 

lighting (with theatre dimming)

Follow me home lighting allows 

programmable timing of up to 

3 minutes which enable front 

headlamps to remain on after exit

Padded driver and front passenger

lights is standard. 

Overhead assist grips are located 

on the front-passenger door and rear 

doors while convenience hooks 

can be found in the rear and boot. 

An auxiliary power outlet in the lower 

IP is standard on all models and can 

be used with laptops and mobile 

phones. A second auxiliary power 

outlet on CDX models is located in 

the 2nd row below the centre console. 

Retained accessory power 

enables the power windows, radio 

to remain operational for 10 minutes 

after the ignition is turned off, or 

until a door is opened. 

An electronic touch pad enables the 

opening of the boot. 

The boot can be opened from inside 

the cabin by depressing the door 

lock/unlock button continuously for 

3 seconds.

Quick Thinking 

The technical backbone of Cruze 

comes in the form of the GM LAN 

Serial Data Electrical Architecture – 

a high and low-speed data network 

that connects system modules 

(anti-lock braking, engine control 

and electronic stability control, etc.) 

This network gives Cruze the 

capability to communicate 

instantaneously at approximately 

50 times the speed of electrical 

systems used in the past. 

Available personal 

technologies 

Rear park assist system uses four 

sensors located on the rear fascia. 

This system sends out ultrasonic 

waves when Cruze is driven in 

reverse at low speeds. The sending 

sensor and adjacent sensors pick 

up the echo of a signal when it 

bounces off an object. Standard 

on CDX models and available 

as an accessory on CD models. 

Standard auto headlamps can 

automatically turn ON the headlights 

during darkness for increased night 

time visibility and OFF during daylight. 

Follow me home lighting allows 

user programmable timing of up to 

3 minutes which enable front 

headlamps to remain on after exit 

and locking of vehicle. 

Standard cruise control allows 

the speed of the Cruze to be set and 

maintained. Cruise control functions 

including on/off set, resume, cancel 

are positioned on the left hand spoke 

of the steering wheel. 

Standard trip computer provides 

useful vehicle information including 

odometer, trip meter, distance to 

empty (range), average speed, 

average fuel economy and 

instantaneous fuel consumption. 

The trip computer functions are 

controllable via the right hand 

indicator stalk switch. 

Steering wheel audio controls let 

you change radio stations, adjust the 

volume, select a different CD track, 

switch from CD to radio and mute 

the sound whilst not taking your 

hands off the wheel.

compatible in dash CD, radio and 

MP3 “plug and play” functionality.

A standard vehicle immobilizer 

won’t let the engine of Cruze start 

unless the ignition switch verifies 

the correct key is being used. 

Standard child safety door locks 

and a lockout switch control the 

function of the inside door handle 

to help protect children inside Cruze. 

Standard power door locks are 

automatic and programmable. 

As soon as vehicle velocity exceeds 

a certain speed, all four doors 

can lock automatically. A simple 

procedure allows the driver to tailor 

the unlock function. 

A standard remote keyless entry 

system has three buttons – lock, 

unlock and boot. 

Interior lamps illuminate as soon 

as the power door locks are activated 

by the remote keyless entry system. 

After occupants enter Cruze and 

close the doors, the lamps remain 

on for a short period to facilitate 

latching seat belts and inserting 

the key into the ignition switch. 

Battery rundown protection shuts 

down certain lights inadvertently left 

on after 20 minutes.

Standard 4-wheel disc brakes 

with ABS. If wheel ‘lock up’ is 

detected under forceful braking, 

ABS momentarily reduces brake 

pressure at the affected wheel(s). 

This improves braking efficiency – 

reducing stopping distances on 

most surfaces – and helps the 

vehicle remain steerable and 

directionally stable. 

Standard Electronic Stability Control 

System (ESC) constantly compares 

the vehicle’s movements with the 

steering wheel angle to determine 

if the vehicle is moving in the 

direction you intend. If skidding 

appears imminent, ESC applies 

brake pressure to individual wheels 

as appropriate and, if necessary, 

trims engine power. This dramatically 

increases turning and cornering 

safety, especially in ‘evasive 

action’ situations. 

Standard Anti-lock Brakes (ABS) 

uses input from wheel speed sensors 

to regulate individual wheel brakes for 

reduced stopping distances, maximum 

stability and improved steerability in 

braking situations. 

Standard Traction Control (TCS) is 

designed to minimise slippage during 

acceleration by recognising if either 

front wheel has insufficient grip, and 

adjusting driveforce and brakeforce 

accordingly. It produces greater 

vehicle stability on wet and icy roads, 

and also in ‘split’ conditions, such 

as when a vehicle has two wheels 

on bitumen and two on a gravel verge. 

Standard Brake Assist (BA) is 

designed for emergency braking 

situations. Few drivers actually 

press the brake pedal firmly enough 

to achieve maximum braking 

performance. BA is designed to sense 

how fast you press the brake pedal 

in an emergency, and maximises 

braking pressure to optimise 

braking performance. 

Standard Electronic Brakeforce 

Distribution (EBD) regulates the 

brakeforce applied to each wheel, 

EBD helps ensure optimal balance 

between front and rear brakes, which 

helps minimise stopping distances.

A unibody of high-strength steel 

incorporates full-length frame rails 

and a safety cage into a single,

and rear crush zones engineered 

to collapse in a controlled manner

Bumper systems are engineered
