This permit is issued to <strong>the</strong> Permit Holder in response to an application granted by <strong>the</strong> APVMA<br />

under section 112 <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Agvet Codes <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> jurisdictions set out below. This permit allows a<br />

person, as stipulated below, to use <strong>the</strong> product in <strong>the</strong> manner specified in this permit in <strong>the</strong><br />

designated jurisdictions. This permit also allows any person to claim that <strong>the</strong> product can be<br />

used in <strong>the</strong> manner specified in this permit.<br />

THIS PERMIT IS IN FORCE FROM 27 MAY 2009 TO 31 DECEMBER 2019.<br />

CONDITIONS OF USE<br />

Product to be used:<br />

NUFARM RAMROD^ FLOWABLE HERBICIDE<br />

Containing: 480 g/L PROPACHLOR as <strong>the</strong> only active constituent.<br />

Directions for Use:<br />

Crop Pest Rate<br />

RADISH (Raphanus sativus), GRASS AND BROADLEAF 5.0 - 7.0 L/ha<br />

SWEDE (Brassica napus) WEEDS pre-emergent/post transplant<br />

AND TURNIP (Brassica rapa)<br />

Critical Use Comments:<br />

• Use <strong>the</strong> lower rate on light to medium textured soils, increase to <strong>the</strong> high rate on heavy<br />

textured soils.<br />

• Apply to <strong>the</strong> soil surface prior to weed or seeded-crop emergence.<br />

• Some moisture, ei<strong>the</strong>r rain or sprinkler-irrigation, is required soon after application to<br />

activate <strong>the</strong> product.<br />

• Apply in at least 200L <strong>of</strong> water per hactare, with a pressure <strong>of</strong> about 200 kPa, using flat<br />

fan or flood jet nozzles <strong>and</strong> nozzle/line screens no finer than 50 mesh.<br />

• Queensl<strong>and</strong> experience has indicated that in s<strong>and</strong>y soil <strong>the</strong> proposed rates may give<br />

useful weed supression, but not total <strong>control</strong>.<br />

(Note: Victoria is not included in this permit because <strong>the</strong>ir ‘<strong>control</strong>-<strong>of</strong>-use’ legislation means that a permit is not<br />

required to legalise this <strong>of</strong>f-label use in VIC).<br />

Additional Conditions:<br />

THIS PERMIT provides for <strong>the</strong> use <strong>of</strong> a product in a manner o<strong>the</strong>r than specified on <strong>the</strong><br />

approved label <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> product. Unless o<strong>the</strong>rwise stated in this permit, <strong>the</strong> use <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> product<br />

must be in accordance with instructions on its label.<br />

PERSONS who wish to prepare for use <strong>and</strong>/or use <strong>the</strong> products for <strong>the</strong> purposes specified in<br />

this permit must read, or have read to <strong>the</strong>m, <strong>the</strong> permit particularly <strong>the</strong> information included in<br />

DETAILS OF PERMIT <strong>and</strong> CONDITIONS OF PERMIT.<br />

TO AVOID CROP DAMAGE:<br />

The sensitivity <strong>of</strong> some species <strong>and</strong> varieties <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> crops to be treated under this permit has not<br />

been fully evaluated. It is advisable, <strong>the</strong>refore, to only treat a small number <strong>of</strong> plants to<br />

ascertain <strong>the</strong>ir reaction before treating <strong>the</strong> whole crop.<br />

Export <strong>of</strong> Produce:<br />

Exported produce or animals must have appropriate residue tolerance limits established in <strong>the</strong><br />

importing countries <strong>and</strong> any residues must not exceed <strong>the</strong> tolerance limits.<br />
