MINIATUREWORLD81 NEW SAM LABEL: Destination Singapore A new postage label design on the theme “Destination Singapore” was put to use with effect from 22 Feb 2010. The first pilot launch of this label will be introduced at one Self-Service Automated Machines (SAM), S151 and S712, at Singapore Post Centre located at 10 Eunos Road 8, Singapore 408600, followed by the Philatelic Outlets by 15 Mar 2010. The new labels were then progressively introduced at all Self-Service Automated Machines from 16 Mar 2010. In addition, look out for the latest Souvenir Cover, “Destination Singapore” by Singapore Philatelic Bureau. This souvenir cover is sold at $0.25 each and is available at all Post Offices. Souvenir Cover TECHNICAL DETAILS: DENOMINATIONS: There are 16 predetermined denominations: 5¢ / 10¢ / 20¢ / 1st Local / 30¢ / 2nd Local / 45¢ / 50¢ / 55¢ / 65¢ / 80¢ / $1 / $1.10 / $2 / $5 / $10 Another 2 denominations 1¢ and 2¢ will be available as change only from the machine. FORMAT: The format of denomination printed for ‘direct purchase’ of postage labels is expressed as ‘¢’ whereas for the labels purchased with the ‘weigh and purchase mode’ the denomination is expressed as ‘$0.00’. PRINTING: The labels are printed using the direct thermal printing technologies. STAMP SIZE: The size of the SAM label is 49mm by 26mm.
