One row right, one row wrong
Short
Rounds
In reference to The Graybeards dated May-June 2007, vol. 22,
No. 3, the picture on page 69, the last row was listed the complete
opposite as it should have been. It should be listed: (L-R) Sgt.
Carson Bunch, Sgt. Boyd Shroyer, Pfc. Richard Parks, Pfc. Ralph
Johnson, Cpl. Bill Weaver, Pfc. Edward Yoseck, ?, Pfc. Charles
Meadows.
The front row was listed in the correct order, i.e. (L-R) SFC Fred
Shively, PFC Frank Fujimoto, Cpl Charles Quantana, PFC Dale
Hawkins. Also, you demoted me from a SFC to a Pfc.
Fredrick R. Shively 415 Walnut St. Covington, Ohio 45318
Editor’s Note: We have reprinted the photo here—and restored PFC
Shively to his original rank.
Incidentally, this is not related to the above photo, but please
make sure when you are submitting photos to let us know who is
Left to Right, or Right to Left. Our photo processing staff is not
familiar with everyone in the KWVA, so identification of subjects is
a great help to us.
Wrong Unit Designation
BUSINESS
In the article on p. 56, “Safe Conduct Pass: Better Off
Forgotten?”, in the July-Aug 2008 issue, the wrong unit designation
was provided for Vince McCormick. It should be B/1/1, rather than
B/2/1.
