education program. Dr. D’Antonio maintains a clinical practice specializing<br />

in couples, men’s issues, personal empowerment, and transcending relational<br />

trauma.<br />

Ad de Jongh, PhD, DDS, is both a Clinical Psychologist and Dentist. He is Professor<br />

of Anxiety and Behavior Disorders at the University of Amsterdam. He is an<br />

expert in the field of dental phobia, and author of more than 150 scientific articles<br />

and book chapters as well as the author of four books on the treatment of anxiety<br />

disorders. He is Director of the Centre for Psychotherapy and Psychotrauma in<br />

Bilthoven and of the Trauma Treatment Unit of D.O.E.N. in Druten. Ad de Jongh is<br />

an approved trainer for the <strong>EMDR</strong> Europe Association.<br />

Carlijn De Roos, MA, is a clinical psychologist and psychotherapist working with<br />

traumatized children, adolescents, and adults as well as with patients suffering<br />

from chronic pain. In her present post, she coordinates a specialized Trauma Centre<br />

for children and adolescents, which is part of the Mental Health Centre (GGZ)<br />

Rivierduinen in Leiden, the Netherlands. She is an <strong>EMDR</strong>-Europe approved child<br />

and adolescent trainer and consultant, president of the Dutch <strong>EMDR</strong> Association,<br />

and a member of the <strong>EMDR</strong> Europe Child Board.<br />

Mark Dworkin, LCSW, has practiced <strong>EMDR</strong> since 1991. His experience in treating<br />

traumatized populations started in 1975 when he began working for the Bronx<br />

VA Medical Center, just as the war in Vietnam was ending. He is a Facilitator;<br />

an Approved Consultant and Approved Trainer for the <strong>EMDR</strong> International Association,<br />

and served on its Board of Directors. He is a graduate of the Manhattan<br />

Institute for Psychoanalysis, and studied Gestalt Therapy with Laura Perls, PhD.<br />

He is published in the Journal of Psychotherapy Integration and he taught Consultation<br />

Psychiatry on the Faculty of the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. He is<br />

currently in full-time private practice in East Meadow, New York, and consults to<br />

different professional organizations. He is the author of <strong>EMDR</strong> and the Relational<br />

Imperative: The Therapeutic Relationship in <strong>EMDR</strong> Treatment (2005).<br />

Dagmar Eckers, Dipl.-Psychologin, is a psychotherapist in private practice, who<br />

works with children, adolescents, and adults in Berlin, Germany. She uses Behavior<br />

Therapy, Hypnotherapy, Family Therapy, and <strong>EMDR</strong>. She is a Facilitator and an Approved<br />

European Child and Adolescent Trainer in <strong>EMDR</strong>.<br />

Catherine G. Fine, PhD, is a clinical psychologist specializing in trauma, dissociative<br />

disorders, anxiety, and depression as well as women’s issues. She teaches nationally<br />

and internationally focusing on outpatient management of overwhelming<br />

traumata, affect management, and structured interventions using formal or informal<br />

hypnosis. She has served as President of ISSMPD and ASCH.<br />

Carol Forgash, LCSW, BCD, is the Board President of the <strong>EMDR</strong>-Humanitarian Assistance<br />

Programs and has a clinical and consulting practice in Smithtown, New<br />

York. She is a Facilitator, and an <strong>EMDR</strong>IA Approved Consultant. She is a lecturer<br />

and consultant on the treatment of dissociation, complex post-traumatic stress disorders,<br />

the complex health issues of sexual abuse survivors, and the integration of<br />

<strong>EMDR</strong> with Ego State therapy and psychodynamic treatment. She has coauthored<br />

and edited Healing the Heart of Trauma and Dissociation With <strong>EMDR</strong> and Ego State<br />

Therapy (<strong>Springer</strong> <strong>Publishing</strong>, 2007), the first book to offer an integrative approach<br />

to successfully treating clients with the most severe trauma-related disorders.
