Chairman’s Message
Dear Alumni and Friends,
Along with the Benedict College Board of Trustees and the President, Dr. David H. Swinton, I
am pleased to present to you the 2006-2007 Annual Giving Report.
We are deeply grateful for your support of Benedict College. Generous people like you are
the reason we’re able to provide financial assistance to deserving students, recruit and
retain top faculty, bring the latest technology to labs and classrooms and
ensure the traditional Benedict quality of life for students.
Your gifts have a profound impact on current Benedict students and allow
the College to improve academic programs and facilities; offer increased
opportunities for off campus study and internship experiences; and
provide for enhancements in technology for those who work and study
every day on the Benedict campus.
All of you whose names are listed in this Annual Giving Report made a
difference for Benedict College students during the 2006-2007 year, with
your gifts of money and service.
I truly hope that you will stand firmly committed to renewing your
leadership support during the 2008 giving year. In doing so, you will help
the College to do an even more effective job of educating Benedict men
and women to think critically, act responsibly, lead effectively, and live
humanely.
You can be reassured that the Board of Trustees will continue to work
closely with the President in assessing the needs of Benedict College. The
Board of Trustees has challenged the alumni to raise 1 million dollars, as
we have challenged ourselves to raise the same.
