NEWS OF FORMER STAFF AND STUDENTS<br />
Samira Bates, (IB2'92) works as a Technical Systems Analyst at the Royal<br />
Bank of Canada in<br />
Toronto.<br />
Simon Garton, (IB2'86) married his longstanding girlfriend Helen Martinez<br />
in <strong>Apr</strong>il 2000, in New<br />
Zealand. Brian Garton, (Headmaster 84-88) and his wife Sid were there to<br />
witness the occasion<br />
as were Nic Garton (IB2'88) and his wife Anna (nee Rossi) (IB2'89). Simon<br />
and Helen now have a<br />
baby son, Samuel. Brian and Sid are trilled with their first grandchild.<br />
Lindsey Jones, (S4'94) graduated from Ohio University with a degree in<br />
Organizational<br />
Communications and a minor in Human Resources and Kiswahili and now works<br />
for Gap Inc Direct in<br />
Columbus, Ohio. "I would love to hear from any ex-ISM person that would<br />
email me!"<br />
Arvind Raja, (IB2'82) has now moved to the USA, together with his wife<br />
Hannele and their 3<br />
daughters. He is working as a software engineer at Tellabs in Boston<br />
Massachusetts.<br />
Sophia Kimario lives and works in Raleigh, North Carolina. She completed<br />
her studies at the<br />
North Carolina State University. Her brother Aziz is still at College also<br />
in Raleigh.<br />
Jacob Chuwa (IB2'92) is doing his MBA at Oxford Brookes University.<br />
George Psychas is teaching Geography at Westfield State College and also<br />
runs the study abroad<br />
program. Paul Psychas is practising medicine in Florida, and Ellen is with<br />
the United Nations<br />
in East Timor.<br />
Arif Jacksi (IB2'89) is a computer graphics guru in New York. He completed<br />
his masters degree<br />
in computer graphics in May 2000.<br />
Mustafa Jacksi (IB2'89) lives in Orlando, Florida where he works for a<br />
brokerage firm. He is<br />
married and has two children.<br />
Faisal Virjee (IB2'85) lives in Orlando and runs his own garage. He is<br />
married and has three<br />
children.<br />
Lorna Allen (P6'91) would like anyone who remembers her to contact her. She<br />
is living in a<br />
small town Andover in Hampshire. She is now working for a banking<br />
investment company, Lloyds<br />
TSB, and will hopefully move to Edinburgh in the summer.<br />

Anita Stafford Allen attended De Montford University in Lincolnshire, UK.<br />
She studied Equine<br />
behaviour and is now working in a telecommunications company. She also has<br />
a part ownership in<br />
a Canine Behavioral/ Training Business.<br />
Trupti Virji (IB2'85) lives in Florida, is married and has a baby boy.<br />
Suraj K. Rai (IB2'93) graduated from the RPI (Troy, New York) in December<br />
'97. He is working as<br />
a computer programmer for Merrill Lynch in Tokyo, Japan.<br />
Rajeev Vibhakar (IB2'88) is currently a Pediatric Resident at the<br />
University of Iowa, in Iowa<br />
City. He recently visited ISM with his wife and other members of the<br />
family.<br />
Nirav H. Vibhakar, (IB2'91) is getting married on the 26th of May this<br />
year. He is hoping to<br />
have a 10-year reunion (ISM class of '91) at his wedding. If you don't want<br />
to miss the<br />
occasion, look up his website at www.giraandnirav.com after 26 May. We wish<br />
him all the best.<br />
Rizwan Lalji (IB2'95) has just graduated from the University of Western<br />
Alabama with BS degree<br />
in Industrial Technology. He is now moving to Florida to do his masters<br />
degree.<br />
Gunter Wagus (S3'77) is working for the German Government in Poland. He<br />
would like anyone who<br />
remembers him to contact him, especially if you know the whereabouts of<br />
Patricia Williamson.<br />
Debra Owen-Hughes attended ISM back in the 70's. She used to live near the<br />
YMCA. She is now<br />
married and lives in Aruba, Dutch West Indies. She would like to get in<br />
touch with anyone who<br />
remembers her.<br />
Stuart Murray (P4'79) would love to hear from anyone who remembers him. His<br />
mother used to<br />
teach at ISM ('76-79).<br />
Sarina Sugawara (IB2'99) is currently in Japan studying <strong>International</strong><br />
Relations at the US<br />
<strong>International</strong> University in Tokyo, Japan.<br />
Anna Heino (IB'95) completed Bachelors degree in Speech and Language<br />
therapy last summer. She<br />
is working in North London in a Special Needs school and in a clinic for<br />
children with speech<br />
and language problems.<br />
Graeme Riddell (IB2'93) completed his MA degree in Geography from St.<br />
Andrews University in<br />
1998 and PGCE at Oxford University. He is now teaching Geography at a<br />
Comprehensive <strong>School</strong> in<br />
Oxford. He says he "loves the teaching and enjoys every minute and aspect<br />
of the job except<br />
marking". Don't we all!<br />
The Ekvad family (ISM'77-79): Ake is Head of an upper school in Gothenburg<br />
and his wife Karstin<br />
is head teacher in another school. Their children have their own families<br />
now. Lotta has two<br />
sons and Klara has one. Martin is working as a lawyer in Brussels.<br />
The Rindall family: Ulrikhe Rindall (P4'92) will finish high school in<br />
June. Cornelie Rindall<br />
(S2'92) spent 1 year in South Africa as an exchange student during her high<br />
school years,<br />

before she began her Social Anthropology studies in Trondheim. Gabrielle<br />
Rindall (S4'92) will<br />
complete her Teachers Training education in May at the University College<br />
of Oslo. More ex-ISM<br />

Hamoud Hilal (IB2'84) lives in Oman and works as Oil and Gas Production<br />
Chemist.<br />
Rebecka Zachrisson is on a mission to try to locate all her old classmates<br />
(S2-S4-1975/78). She<br />
would like to start a regular class newsletter, a home page and eventually<br />
a reunion. She can<br />

Rene Ostersen (IB2'95) went to an Agricultural College in Denmark after<br />
leaving ISM. He has now<br />
changed his career and is working for a construction company. He would like<br />
to hear from the<br />
class of '95 and any other ex-ISMers.<br />
The Shaffer family: Emily (IB2'97) has completed her degree in<br />
<strong>International</strong> Management at<br />
Georgetown University and is currently in Tanzania doing volunteer work and<br />
'intern' at<br />
Serengeti Select Safaris. She will begin her job as a consultant for the<br />
Monitor Group in New<br />
York City in September. Sandra (IB2'99) will complete a degree in Social<br />
Science at Florida<br />
Atlantic University in June.<br />
Priti Shah (IB2'81) works as a Management Consultant for<br />
PricewaterhouseCoopers in London. She<br />
would like to get in touch with her former teachers: Mrs Rasmussen, Miss<br />
Armstrong, Miss Annie<br />
Lander, Mr & Mrs Wreeby, Mr & Mrs Buizert.<br />
Michael and Simon Cooper (1974-76) would like to locate their friends: the<br />
Yodders (David, John<br />
and Benji), the Heyses (Edward, Alice, Mark and Betty), Christian Waldermo,<br />
Chetan Shah,<br />
Patricia Maxwell and Cinzia De Palmer. If you know the whereabouts of any<br />
of these people<br />
please pass the information to either of them or to the school. Michael is<br />
in the Navy, Simon<br />
is a chaplain at a college in South Australia and Adam is a pastor of the<br />
Lutheran Church of<br />
Australia.<br />
