The Hartlepool 20" <strong>pipe</strong> mill started production in 1967<br />

and has since had upgrades in 1985, 1991 and 1998 to<br />

make it one of the most technically respected, High<br />

Frequency Induction <strong>welded</strong> <strong>pipe</strong> mills<br />

in the world.<br />

The 20" <strong>pipe</strong> mill operations have an Environmental Management System<br />

accredited to ISO 14001 and a Quality Management System accredited<br />

to ISO 9001.<br />

The strengths of the 20" <strong>pipe</strong> mill:-<br />

•Wall thickness tolerance of +/- 5% to nearest 0.1mm<br />

• Excellent tolerances enabling good lay rates<br />

• Full sour specification suitable for subsea<br />

applications<br />

• Meets weld line impact requirements of<br />

severe offshore conditions<br />

• Short lead times and quick delivery with Corus coil<br />

• 100% NDT of finished <strong>pipe</strong> with high specification<br />

rotary probe system<br />

• Full body heat treatment for those special<br />

applications<br />

• Adjacent to the BSR coating plant and<br />

deepwater port<br />
