Transporting gas throughout Wales and
the South West – under rivers through
cities around farms – getting gas to
your door.

engineers in a gas emergency 24/7 –
365 days a year.
Covering the whole of Wales
and South West region –
our skilled engineers work
from Anglesey down
to Cornwall.
GRADUATE DEVELOPMENT
PROGRAMME
Starting salary £22k+
1st year
Develop an appreciation of the
industry from a field and office
environment via core placements
2nd year
Build on engineering competencies
and managerial skills through
projects and placements
The programme is unrestrictive and can result
in jobs in all areas of the company, from
assisting with the emergency service to
designing of the gas distribution network.
WWU is a keen investor in developing
and promoting its skill base
internally and the programme is
aimed towards developing
Chartered Engineers to fill key roles
within the business.

Professional
Pressure and
Maintenance engineer.
With 1,000s of gas
stations in Wales and the
South West Pressure
Management Engineers keep the
gas moving to millions of users.
Pressure management engineers
have detailed technical and
mechanical knowledge to allow them
to make alterations on site.

Providing a
24 hour response –
engineers have
1-2 hours to report to
gas escapes throughout
Wales and the South West.
EMS engineers also conduct gas
meter work where meters have
failed, require maintenance, or are
due for exchange. The EMS workforce
are dedicated emergency engineers
working where ever when ever to keep
the public safe. Highly trained and with
a vast support network there are EMS
engineers located across the Wales and South
West region. Always on the move and always
in the field EMS engineers are the first on site.

Professional
Electrical and
Instrument engineer.
E&I engineers are
responsible for maintaining
all instrumentation, electrical,
Telemetry and Control systems
on Gas stations. Specialist
training is required as it involves
working with Electrical Apparatus in
Hazardous Areas. With a detailed
understanding of electrical engineering
E&I engineers need to be the most up to
date and have the highest standards of
work as the information taken from site
instruments is used throughout the company.
The role may also involve Project and Design
Installation work.
