Skinner on Dowling:
“Jenae’s work ethic and passion for the
sport of volleyball will be a huge asset for our
program. She’s played at the highest level,
which will help our players understand what
it takes to win championships.”
Dowling on the transition
from playing to coaching…
“I grew up with a passion for volleyball
and always knew I wouldn’t be able to stay
away; but when I graduated college I was out
of the mix for a while. I missed the game,
missed the camaraderie, and missed being
part of a team. Coaching has brought back
that passion and I’m looking forward to sharing
it with and passing it on to our athletes
this fall.”
“I’m so thankful
to have been
given this coaching opportunity,” Dowling
said. “I can’t imagine anything I would love
doing more. We have great athletes, unbelievable
support from the fans and athletic department,
a great conference, and a beautiful city. I
couldn’t be happier, and I’m really looking forward
to this season.”
Dowling, a native of Fort Wayne, Ind., was a
at the libero position.
Dowling shined in the
All-Big 12 honors three times
we want to be part of our program
here at Kentucky," Skinner
hard working and passionate
about the sport of volleyball.
She has played at the highest
level and won a national
help us continue building for
championships of our own."
