Why Kentucky?
“Walking into Memorial Coliseum, it is acknowledged
that the dedicated scholar athletes before me
have poured their hearts into every aspect of intercollegiate
competition. Blue pride is passed down as
a tradition and a way of life because every Wildcat
holds themselves accountable to expectations. I cannot
see myself anywhere but Kentucky and am honored
to be wearing blue today.”

against 23rd-ranked
Louisville, adding eight
digs for UK.
High School – Was
named most valuable player
on her team as both a
junior and senior, while
guiding her team to two
conference championships
… Was named honorable
mention All-Area by the
Daily Herald… Helped
guide the Huskies to the
2004 regional, sectional
and super sectional titles
and a fifth-place finish in
the Illinois State Championship … Also was named
honorable mention All-Conference as a senior …
Served as a captain for the track team as a senior, while
finishing 15th in the 4 x 400 relay at the state championships
… Played high school volleyball under coach

Personal – Daughter of Pat and Pam Bowler …
Born Aug. 5, 1986 in Arlington Heights, Ill. … Has
two sisters – Amy (25) and Kelsey (15), and one
brother, Kevin (21). Sister Amy played college volleyball
at Arizona State.
