House rules for tenants in accommodations provided by the International
Accommodation Office at Aalborg University
You are responsible for:
Keeping your accommodation clean and tidy
Vent the room, by opening the windows to prevent mold.
Tidying up after you in the shared interior and exterior facilities and keeping these
areas clean all the time. Otherwise a company will do it at your expense.
Putting your garbage in the garbage containers
Locking your doors and windows to prevent theft
Paying your rent and laundry bills
Behaving in a manner that does not annoy your neighbours
Behaving properly and making sure that any guest of yours behave properly
Keeping any escape doors unblocked
Minimizing the use of energy by following the below mentioned rules:
1. Do not open the windows and doors while you have turned on the heater. The heater
will continue to warm up your room (and the universe).
2. When leaving your room, please remember to lower or turn off the heater.
3. Please, save on the hot water while showering and washing.
4. Remember to turn off the light(s) and the electric appliances when you leave your
room.
Please respect the above mentioned rules or you are using much more energy than the
expected average tenant. The consequence will be that the IAO has to raise the rent.
Removing bicycles belonging to you on departure.

You are not allowed to:
Have parties/Make loud noises after 11pm as playing loud music etc.
If you have a small gathering, keep all windows closed
Keep pets
Have people moving in with you
Do not throw bottles and cigarettes out if the windows.
Cause any damages to the interior and exterior facilities
Use the room or any other room in the building as a storage facility for bikes or bike parts
Please note; if above is not respected the IAO will contact your home university without
warnings, and take actions on possible complaint regarding parties.
The IAO can resign you from the accommodation without warnings if there is a complaint
regarding parties.
Please respect these rules, and treat your fellow students and neigh boroughs with respect.
