<strong>House</strong> <strong>rules</strong> <strong>for</strong> <strong>tenants</strong> <strong>in</strong> <strong>accommodations</strong> <strong>provided</strong> <strong>by</strong> <strong>the</strong> International<br />

Accommodation Office at Aalborg University<br />

You are responsible <strong>for</strong>:<br />

Keep<strong>in</strong>g your accommodation clean and tidy<br />

Vent <strong>the</strong> room, <strong>by</strong> open<strong>in</strong>g <strong>the</strong> w<strong>in</strong>dows to prevent mold.<br />

Tidy<strong>in</strong>g up after you <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> shared <strong>in</strong>terior and exterior facilities and keep<strong>in</strong>g <strong>the</strong>se<br />

areas clean all <strong>the</strong> time. O<strong>the</strong>rwise a company will do it at your expense.<br />

Putt<strong>in</strong>g your garbage <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> garbage conta<strong>in</strong>ers<br />

Lock<strong>in</strong>g your doors and w<strong>in</strong>dows to prevent <strong>the</strong>ft<br />

Pay<strong>in</strong>g your rent and laundry bills<br />

Behav<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> a manner that does not annoy your neighbours<br />

Behav<strong>in</strong>g properly and mak<strong>in</strong>g sure that any guest of yours behave properly<br />

Keep<strong>in</strong>g any escape doors unblocked<br />

M<strong>in</strong>imiz<strong>in</strong>g <strong>the</strong> use of energy <strong>by</strong> follow<strong>in</strong>g <strong>the</strong> below mentioned <strong>rules</strong>:<br />

1. Do not open <strong>the</strong> w<strong>in</strong>dows and doors while you have turned on <strong>the</strong> heater. The heater<br />

will cont<strong>in</strong>ue to warm up your room (and <strong>the</strong> universe).<br />

2. When leav<strong>in</strong>g your room, please remember to lower or turn off <strong>the</strong> heater.<br />

3. Please, save on <strong>the</strong> hot water while shower<strong>in</strong>g and wash<strong>in</strong>g.<br />

4. Remember to turn off <strong>the</strong> light(s) and <strong>the</strong> electric appliances when you leave your<br />

room.<br />

Please respect <strong>the</strong> above mentioned <strong>rules</strong> or you are us<strong>in</strong>g much more energy than <strong>the</strong><br />

expected average tenant. The consequence will be that <strong>the</strong> IAO has to raise <strong>the</strong> rent.<br />

Remov<strong>in</strong>g bicycles belong<strong>in</strong>g to you on departure.


You are not allowed to:<br />

Have parties/Make loud noises after 11pm as play<strong>in</strong>g loud music etc.<br />

If you have a small ga<strong>the</strong>r<strong>in</strong>g, keep all w<strong>in</strong>dows closed<br />

Keep pets<br />

Have people mov<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> with you<br />

Do not throw bottles and cigarettes out if <strong>the</strong> w<strong>in</strong>dows.<br />

Cause any damages to <strong>the</strong> <strong>in</strong>terior and exterior facilities<br />

Use <strong>the</strong> room or any o<strong>the</strong>r room <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> build<strong>in</strong>g as a storage facility <strong>for</strong> bikes or bike parts<br />

Please note; if above is not respected <strong>the</strong> IAO will contact your home university without<br />

warn<strong>in</strong>gs, and take actions on possible compla<strong>in</strong>t regard<strong>in</strong>g parties.<br />

The IAO can resign you from <strong>the</strong> accommodation without warn<strong>in</strong>gs if <strong>the</strong>re is a compla<strong>in</strong>t<br />

regard<strong>in</strong>g parties.<br />

Please respect <strong>the</strong>se <strong>rules</strong>, and treat your fellow students and neigh boroughs with respect.<br />
