<strong>Post</strong>-<strong>doctoral</strong> <strong>Research</strong> Position at Advanced Institute of Manufacturing for High-tech<br />
Innovations (AIM-HI)<br />
<strong>National</strong> <strong>Chung</strong> <strong>Cheng</strong> <strong>University</strong>, Chiayi, Taiwan<br />
A number of <strong>Post</strong>-<strong>doctoral</strong> <strong>Research</strong> positions are immediately available for creative,<br />
self-motivated researchers to work on project on advanced manufacturing<br />
technologies in response to emerging technological and social needs. The project<br />
involves research on and development of key technologies for the next-generation<br />
machine tools for green and intelligent manufacturing systems. Beyond the direct<br />
application to precision machining, the technologies developed are expected to find<br />
productive applications in other systems too, including intelligent robots and vehicles,<br />
eco-friendly fabrication processes in the semiconductor and flat panel display<br />
industries (the two major industries in Taiwan, generating total revenues of trillions of<br />
NT dollars each) as well as the emerging green energy industry. Individuals with<br />
strong motivation to work on advanced manufacturing systems are encouraged to<br />
apply.<br />
Qualifications:<br />
1. Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, computer science<br />
and information engineering, electrical engineering, communications engineering,<br />
opto-mechatronics, or related fields<br />
2. In-depth knowledge of advanced machine tools, precision molding, and<br />
leading-edge process and rolling and forging technology<br />
3. Experience with optimal machine design, and experimental and theoretical<br />
analysis for feed drive system in machine tools; academic publications on the<br />
related field will be a plus<br />
Salary: Competitive, in accordance with the <strong>National</strong> Science Council, Taiwan<br />
