Note: The Professional Sales <strong>major</strong> is a limited access program. To be admitted to <strong>the</strong> Professional Sales <strong>major</strong>, a<br />

student must meet <strong>the</strong> admission <strong>requirements</strong> <strong>for</strong> limited access programs <strong>in</strong> bus<strong>in</strong>ess. These <strong>requirements</strong> are<br />

described <strong>in</strong> a separate handout titled Admission Requirements <strong>for</strong> College of Bus<strong>in</strong>ess Limited Access Programs.<br />

Additional In<strong>for</strong>mation:<br />

1. In lieu of a <strong>sales</strong> <strong>in</strong>ternship, students may participate <strong>in</strong> a national <strong>sales</strong> competition with <strong>the</strong> approval of <strong>the</strong><br />

Professional Sales Program Director. Note that participation is based on a competitive application process. If<br />

selected, <strong>the</strong>se students will take MAR 4939 (Competitive Sell<strong>in</strong>g) <strong>in</strong> lieu of MAR 4941.<br />

2. In addition to <strong>the</strong> <strong>requirements</strong> outl<strong>in</strong>ed above, each student must complete all University-wide<br />

<strong>requirements</strong> <strong>for</strong> graduation. These <strong>requirements</strong> <strong>in</strong>clude liberal studies <strong>requirements</strong>, <strong>the</strong> multicultural<br />

requirement, <strong>the</strong> Gordon Rule writ<strong>in</strong>g requirement, <strong>the</strong> summer school requirement, <strong>the</strong> FSU residency<br />

requirement, and total hours <strong>requirements</strong>.<br />

3. Transfer of upper-level bus<strong>in</strong>ess courses must be from bus<strong>in</strong>ess colleges at o<strong>the</strong>r 4-year, accredited<br />

<strong>in</strong>stitutions. These courses must carry prerequisites similar to those of <strong>the</strong> courses <strong>the</strong>y are replac<strong>in</strong>g,<br />

and <strong>the</strong>y must be approved by <strong>the</strong> College of Bus<strong>in</strong>ess Undergraduate Programs Office. Once enrolled<br />

at FSU, students should not take any course at ano<strong>the</strong>r <strong>in</strong>stitution without first receiv<strong>in</strong>g approval from<br />

<strong>the</strong> College of Bus<strong>in</strong>ess Undergraduate Programs Office.
