WEST, JR., Th.D., Professor of Bible and Religion and Chairman of the Department of Bible, Religion and Philosophy IN ORDER to fill a need tor better training for preachers, the Department of Bible began in the summer of 1952 to offer work on a graduate level leading to the M.A. degree. The work is divided into four fields - Biblical, Historical, Doctrinal and Practical. Fifteen students were awarded the M.A. degree in Bible at the end of the first year. During the second year more than thirty stud~nts have been enrolled in graduate work.
