6 th January : Orthodox Christmas
Tonight will be a big celebration for the Orthodox
Christmas. An extensive buffet will be on offer in Ocean
Grill with a focus on fresh seafood, live food stations and
ambient music. Pre dinner drinks will be served.
Tonight’s dinner will include the buffet and pre-dinner
cocktails and is priced at USD$ 95 per person.
10 th February : Chinese New Year
We will celebrate the Year of the Snake, with a sumptuous
Asian/Chinese buffet in Ocean Grill restaurant at only
USD$ 60 per person. (USD$ 19.50 for kids under 12 years
old). Included for in house package guests.
14 th February : Valentine’s Day
Special Valentine 5 courses menu in Ocean Grill at USD 95
(USD$ 42.50 for kids under 12 yrs old). Included for our
Dine Around guests (USD$ 40 extra for other packages).
M-Crew will be playing from 8.30pm till 11.30pm at the
Beach Bar.
To Be Advised : Music Festival “Party With A
Purpose”
Join us to a day of music with local bands for a purpose.
2nd year for the Music Festival with a purpose. All money
raised on the day will proceed to our CSR program. Last
year we raised USD$ 9000 and used the money for
equipment (fridge, freezer, water filters), toiletries, beds,
linens and other items for the Children’s home in Villingili.

23 rd March : Earth Hour
Millions of people turn off their lights for Earth Hour at
8.30pm (20:30) in their local times. Iconic buildings and
landmarks from Europe to Asia to the Americas have stood
in darkness during previous Earth Hours. Some people
enjoy Earth Hour with a candle-lit dinner or a candle-lit
bath, while others host large events or parties, either in
darkness or with candles, to celebrate Earth Hour.
24 th March – 05 th April : Easter Celebration
A kids buffet will be served in Vihamana from 1st - 15th
April,6:30pm - 9:30pm.
Kids can enjoy pizza making with our Chefs (on
Wednesdays & Fridays) and enjoy their very own freshly
made pizzas! Complimentary soft drinks will be served.
Bake cookies (on Thursdays & Saturdays) with our Pastry
Chef at Ocean Grill and enjoy the cookies with a soft drink.
Have an afternoon of Kids Karaoke (on Tuesdays) at
Rendezvous Lounge with popcorn and soft drinks.
31 st March : Easter Sunday
A day of new beginnings with fun activities for the kids.
They will enjoy games and meet new friends at the
poolside. Of course hunting skills will come in handy as
Easter Sunday will not be complete without the Easter Egg
Hunt. Then enjoy an afternoon of Karaoke for kids, where
they can sing their favourite tunes. A children’s buffet
dinner at the Vihamana will be served.
22 nd April : Earth Day
Earth Day is a day early each year on which events are
held worldwide to increase awareness and appreciation of
the Earth's natural environment. Earth Day is now
coordinated globally by the Earth Day Network and is
celebrated in more than 192 countries every year. More
than 1 billion people worldwide participated in green acts
around the globe during the Earth day last year, sending a
powerful message for action on climate change.

05 th May : Orthodox Easter
A day of new beginnings with fun activities for the kids.
They will enjoy games and meet new friends at the
poolside. Of course hunting skills will come in handy as
Easter Sunday will not be complete without the Easter Egg
Hunt. Then enjoy an afternoon of Karaoke for kids, where
they can sing their favourite tunes. A children’s buffet
dinner at the Vihamana will be served.
10 th May : International Children’s Day
Kurumba Maldives will host 37 underprivileged children
from the Maafushi Island Orphanage ETCC enjoyed a day
on Kurumba Maldives. This program was organised in
conjunction with the Human Rights Commission to
celebrate International Children’s Day.
09 th July – 07 th August : Ramadhan
A special Iftar and Sohour buffet during the Ramadan.
A month long observance of self purification and
contemplate charity toward those less fortunate. A special
Iftar and Sohour buffet during the Islamic month of
Ramadan is prepared where guests can gather to break
their fast together (special menu also available with In
Room Dining)
05 th August : Artiste in Residence (for one month)
Kurumba is pleased that Eyes on Asia, founded by Felix
Hug and Jamie Boyd will be out first Artiste in Residence.
Felix brings his talent and knowledge from his travels
throughout Asia, by proof of the numerous Best Image
Awards he has won in the region. Jamie bring to their duo,
her expertise in production, presentation and experience
in the modelling industry. They will be conducting special
sessions and workshops for guests who are keen to polish
up their interest and skills of photography.

08 th August : Eid-al-Fitr
Special Eid Buffet in Vihamana to celebrate Eid-al-Fitr (the
end of Ramadan).
Guests are invited to wear their best attire for the
“Celebration of Breaking the Fast” dinner. To mark the end
of fasting period of the Islamic month of Ramadan, a
celebratory Eid-al-Fitr feast (buffet) will be prepared in
Vihamana restaurant.
21 st December 2013 – 08 th January 2014 : Year-
End Festive Celebrations at Kurumba
The festive season celebrations will run from the 21st
December 2013 to the 8th January 2014. Throughout our
festive season, we have a full range of programs,
activities, recreation and entertainment for both adults and
children. This complete program will be released and
updated throughout the year.
24 th December : Christmas Eve
Tonight we will serve a seafood buffet dinner along with a
live cooking station in Ocean Grill Restaurant. There will be
a full program of activities and entertainment throughout
our festive season.
25 th December : Christmas Day
Enjoy a Christmas lunch at Vihamana from 12:00pm -
2:30pm. Look out for the many activities we have put
together, especially for you.

31 st December : New Year’s Eve Party
Tonight’s theme – You are a star. Dress glamorous,
stylish, a splash on bling. You may just be walking the red
carpet this evening and so much more. Be prepared to
surround yourself with people who may want autographs,
a show and entertainment over dinner. For those late
night revellers, Live Bands and DJ will be awaiting. Dance
the night away as you usher in the New Year!
