I have been looking for any old shipmates who were stationed<br />

at NAS San Diego with Patrol Squadron 48 (VP-48) in 1954 and<br />

1955. If anyone has any information on any of the crew members<br />

I would appreciate hearing from them. I was a PN2 while with the<br />

squadron and worked in the Personnel Office. Left for early discharge<br />

in late January 1955, just before the squadron deployed.<br />

While on a revisit tour to Korea in June, I met a Greek veteran<br />

who was looking for an American whom he was with as a F.O.<br />

with the 39th Artillery of the 3rd Division. <strong>The</strong> American soldier<br />

was 2nd Lt. J. Morris. <strong>The</strong>y were in Korea in 1953 when the<br />

Armistice was signed. <strong>The</strong> American soon left to go to his own<br />

outfit and said before he left Now I will be able to see my daughter.<br />

<strong>The</strong> Greek Veteran’s name is Lt. Demetrios Papadopoulos,<br />

(Ret.) He has contacted the 3rd Division without any results. Lt.<br />
