Life Member William Furey sang the National Anthem.<br />

Father Herbert Cleary S.J. gave the opening prayer and benediction.<br />

<strong>Korean</strong> Consul General Jooseok Kim gave the principal<br />

address, after receiving welcome remarks by Leo Agnew,<br />

President of Chapter 300.<br />

Mottolo and Mrs. Carolyn Comfort, whose husband was a Silver<br />

Star recipient. He served with the 2nd ID. They were given certificates<br />

of appreciation.<br />

Chairman Lou Pelosi presents certificates to Mr. & Mrs. Mottolo and Mrs.<br />

Comfort at CID 300’s <strong>Veterans</strong> Day ceremony<br />

Donors who placed commemorative bricks in the Memorial<br />

Walkway were introduced. They included Robert and Evelyn<br />

William Richardson, a member of Cape & Islands Chapter<br />

141, was recognized and awarded a certificate of appreciation for<br />

his contribution of a Memorial Bench installed at the Memorial.<br />

The Chapter Color Guard comprised the following: (Rifles)<br />

John Woelfe, Lou Stifano (Colors) Ed Piana, <strong>Korean</strong> Flag, Jack<br />

Dowd, United Nation Flag, Joe McCallion.<br />

Ed MacDonald handled the public address system.<br />

A coalition was held at the Tavern on the Water.<br />

We engaged in a variety of activities in recent months. Among<br />

them, we:<br />

• held our annual picnic in Prescott<br />

• marched in the 4th of July “Frontier Rodeo Days Parade”<br />
