Getting it real is what METI does best. Our technology
takes the learning process to the next level, challenging
minds to think, react and respond with accuracy and
precision. To help enhance the realism, we developed
the Trauma/Disaster Casualty Kit (TDCK) to take the
learning experience even further — setting training
sessions up for a world of possibilities and worse case
scenarios.
Used in tandem with the METI Human Patient Simulator
– HPS or the Emergency Care Simulator - ECS, the
TDCK introduces blood flow, mucus and secreted fluids
into a training session. Instructors can create the drama
of crisis scenarios that involve major blood loss with a
little set up and a few simple software commands. Reallife
reactions to exposure to chemicals or major trauma
can be simulated using the features of the TDCK, right
down to the very last detail.
Based on an intricate combination of electronic controls,
hydraulic mechanisms and pneumatic air pressure, the
TDCK can pump blood and various secretions into the
mannequin, bringing the simulation session to life.
Watering eyes and various other secretions add to
the realism of patient reaction to a wide spectrum of
medical conditions. Combined with the use of a Moulage
Kit, simulated injuries, including large open wounds and
the severing of limbs, are now a part of valuable training
scenarios.
