Hodge Hall
I made some great friends
from around the world!
The atmosphere was good,
with a buzz of excitement
in the Hall as well as the
local area. The location
was fantastic as it is right
on the University doorstep
– it was a real help
particularly as I came
to Cardiff from another
country!
Bisma Monem:
Cartwright Court
My room was spacious
and comfortable and
only a short walk from
the University. The design
was ideal for study but
also had good communal
areas for meeting people.

I love it!! University Hall
is the furthest away from
the University, but that
has created a real village
atmosphere – everyone
is really friendly and you
get to meet loads of
different people from a
variety of courses.
There are regular buses
to and from the University
and Union and 24-hour
security made me feel
really safe.

Talybont
It was really enjoyable –
we both had a brilliant time!
It is situated really close
to a massive supermarket
and easy to get into uni
and town.
Halls are great for meeting
people particularly with
the on-site bar where
everybody socialises.
Talybont is home to most of
the sporting facilities at the
University, which was really
great!

Staying in Halls was
an excellent start and
introduction to Cardiff Uni.
They are located extremely
close to the uni and city
centre and the size of the
Halls are really good for
getting to know people well.
The staff and cleaners
were really friendly and
the rooms were perfect
– loads of natural light,
shelves/drawers and plug
sockets. I felt very safe as
the security was excellent.

Staying in Senghennydd
Court was an ideal way to
meet people. The rooms
were well designed and well
situated for the local shops,
town and the restaurant in
Trevithick Building if you
get bored of cooking for
yourself! The staff were
helpful and the cleaners
were lovely!

Talybont North
Living in Halls is a great
way to start university. I
didn’t have to deal with the
problems of living on my
own. There was 24-hour
security and helpful staff
and cleaners. My room was
ideally suited for my needs
and the on-site facilities
(laundrette, sports hall/gym
and social centre) made life
both enjoyable and easy!

Staying in Halls is the best
way to leave home! You
make some great friends
who are not necessarily on
your course. The rooms are
comfortable with plenty of
storage and well designed
for study.

session 2009/10. The residences fees for the 2010/11 session will be published on our website
