multiple search committees).<br />
• As an active member <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> graduate department <strong>of</strong> anthropology I have served on many personnel<br />
committees, search committees, doctoral committees, <strong>and</strong> have supervised dissertations.<br />
• I was a member <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> committee that founded Jewish Studies at Rutgers.<br />
• I was on <strong>the</strong> search committee for <strong>the</strong> first chair, <strong>the</strong> search committee for <strong>the</strong> Laurie chair in history,<br />
<strong>the</strong> executive committee, personnel committees, <strong>and</strong> was an active voting member <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> department<br />
since it was established.<br />
• At <strong>the</strong> college level my primary involvement has been in <strong>the</strong> college honors programs. I have been<br />
active in <strong>the</strong> Faculty <strong>of</strong> <strong>Arts</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>Science</strong>s having served on <strong>the</strong> Departmental Chairs Committee, <strong>the</strong><br />
Appointments <strong>and</strong> Promotions Committee for Pr<strong>of</strong>essor <strong>and</strong> for <strong>the</strong> highest rank at Rutgers (Pr<strong>of</strong>essor<br />
II), <strong>the</strong> nominations committee, <strong>the</strong> Study Abroad Committee, <strong>and</strong> I have represented FAS on <strong>the</strong><br />
University Senate.<br />
• I have also represented <strong>the</strong> Graduate School on <strong>the</strong> University Senate.<br />
• My major activity for <strong>the</strong> graduate school has been repeated service on <strong>the</strong> Fellowship Committee. At<br />
<strong>the</strong> University level I have served multiple terms on <strong>the</strong> Senate, as a consultant on <strong>the</strong> University<br />
