Advising students has become an increasingly
difficult business. Each year there are more
options than ever before – of courses,
universities, ways of studying. Higher education
has changed and is still changing, and naturally
this is making young people think differently.
Even now the environment has settled down
there are still a lot of misinformation and myths
circulating that can lead to confusion. This
guide is devised as a useful go-to resource to
enable you to give your students advice that is
not only helpful but accurate. The guide also
provides a University perspective on areas such

well as handy links.
