2.0 RECOVERY<br />

2.1 Recovery Goal<br />

To restore American Chestnut populations <strong>in</strong> <strong>Ontario</strong> to a self-susta<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g state whereby<br />

natural recruitment results <strong>in</strong> the ma<strong>in</strong>tenance or <strong>in</strong>crease <strong>of</strong> current population size<br />

throughout the species’ native range.<br />

2.2 Protection and Recovery Objectives<br />
