Demolished Structures
A small guesthouse on the east side of the island, known as the “Igloo,” is no longer extant. Built as the kitchen
and dining room wing in 1906, it was relocated and converted into a guest house after the 1912-13
enlargements. Its first location was behind the new wing. Later it was moved down to a ledge on the east side
of the house. Also demolished is a small woodshed that stood to the rear of the house.
