OPEN DAY
The NUI Galway Open Days are your opportunity
to experience University life first hand. Come and
talk to our students and staff, explore the campus,
check out the facilities – including our new Sports
Centre – and decide for yourself whether NUI
Galway feels right for you.
Our Friday Open Day is aimed at schools and
colleges although individuals are also very welcome
to attend. The Saturday Open Day is the event for
you and your family and friends to attend.
Get the most out of your visit
In Áras na Mac Léinn, our Student Centre, you will find the full
range of subject-specific exhibition stands. Here you can talk to our
lecturers and students and find out more about the courses you are
interested in. Our services for students are also represented here.
A programme of taster talks and interactive sessions also runs
throughout the day and is designed to give you a real insight into
University life. We would advise you to start your visit with a
Welcome Talk, and then attend a range of different subject talks,
depending on your interests.
Don’t forget to take a tour of the campus with one of our Student
Ambassadors, and you might want to check out the student
accommodation as well. And a visit to the Sports Centre is a must!
Exhibition Areas
Lecturers and students will be available to answer your questions and provide detailed subject information at the following stands:
