What a joy
for DLOY
D (DLOY) Sqn RMLY has a new Recruit. Jade
Doherty, 18, from Winstanley, Wigan is
pictured celebrating with her parents Lynn
and David after successfully passing her basic
training course at the Army Training Centre,
Pirbright.
Jade wanted to seek new challenges and
joined D Sqn RMLY in January 2009. She
was impressed with what the TA had to offer
in as far as developing her skills, meeting
new friends and gaining experience in a wide
range of areas not normally found in normal
day to day life. She said “I really enjoyed my
course at Pirbright although it was arduous at
times. I met many new friends who I still
D Sqn RMLY are based in Wigan. For more
information contact Capt Jimmy Aspinall on
01942 248882. Or for more information about
joining the Territorial Army go to
keep in contact with today and would
encourage anyone considering a TA career to
contact their local TA centre. I absolutely love
it and have learned so much in such a short
period of time”.
Jade wants to travel to different countries
and knows that opportunities exist for her to
do so in the TA. She has just started her sports
and exercise science degree at Edge Hill
University and knows her time will come.
Jade is following the path of a Combat
Medical Technician (CMT) with D Squadron
and is due to attend a CMT 3 training course
soon.
