Meet Your Regional<br />

CE Coordinators<br />

Pr<strong>of</strong>essional Development Advisor, Continuing Competency Programs<br />

Regional Continuing Education Coordinators are volunteer pharmacists who work with the <strong>Ontario</strong> <strong>College</strong><br />

<strong>of</strong> <strong>Pharmacists</strong> and/or local pharmacists’ associations in their CE Regions to:<br />

• Identify continuous pr<strong>of</strong>essional development needs <strong>of</strong> pharmacists<br />

• Organize live CE events<br />

To identify your CE Region or to find the contact information <strong>of</strong> your Regional CE Coordinator and Associate(s),<br />

visit our website (http://www.ocpinfo.com) and click on “Continuing Education” on the left menu bar.<br />

Some <strong>of</strong> the Regional CE Coordinators have kindly provided us with their biographies and shared with us<br />

their experiences as Coordinators or Associates. Their efforts and contribution to continuous pr<strong>of</strong>essional<br />

development <strong>of</strong> the pr<strong>of</strong>ession are truly appreciated.<br />

CE Region #2: Joanne Labelle<br />

Joanne has been working at Shoppers Drug Mart, Cornwall<br />

Square, since her graduation from University <strong>of</strong><br />

Toronto in 1981. She enjoys being a preceptor for the<br />

SPEP program <strong>of</strong> U <strong>of</strong> T and Dalhousie University's programs.<br />

Her duties as a pharmacy manager, preceptor,<br />

CE co-ordinator and chair <strong>of</strong> the SD&G <strong>Pharmacists</strong>'<br />

Association have made her pharmacy career exciting and<br />

very rewarding. “Getting involved in my pr<strong>of</strong>ession was<br />

one <strong>of</strong> the best decisions I have made and I would recommend<br />

it for all pharmacists.”<br />

CE Region #3: Priti Luhadia<br />

Priti came from India seven years ago and has been working<br />

as a staff pharmacist at Pharma Plus Drugmart in<br />

Brockville since 2003. “Pr<strong>of</strong>essionally, I would like to see<br />

pharmacists being able to do a lot more than we presently<br />

do.”<br />

CE Region #4: Kelli Ouimet<br />

Kelli graduated from U <strong>of</strong> T in 1993 and started working<br />

for a local independent pharmacy in Petawawa. Three<br />

years ago she became the Designated Manager <strong>of</strong> Mulvihill<br />

Drug Mart in Petawawa. “I have been the Regional<br />

Coordinator for CE Region #4 for the last four years and<br />

would greatly appreciate any help from anyone willing to<br />

give a little bit <strong>of</strong> their time.”<br />

CE Region #6: Cindy Londry<br />

Cindy graduated from the University <strong>of</strong> Manitoba in<br />

1986. She is currently working at Clinic Pharmacy at the<br />

Fraser Armstrong Clinic at Kingston General Hospital.<br />

She has been a CE Coordinator for almost four years for<br />

the Kingston and Area <strong>Pharmacists</strong>’ Association. Cindy<br />

has found this to be an extremely rewarding experience,<br />

especially with the opportunity to meet so many great<br />

people.<br />

CE Region #7: Debbie M<strong>of</strong>fatt<br />

Debbie graduated from Dalhousie University in 1984 and<br />

moved to Trenton in 1990. She works in retail pharmacy<br />

with special interests in pediatric psychiatry and diabetes.<br />
