Continuing and Former Students<br />

How to Register on OASIS:<br />

1 Meet with faculty advisor<br />

a. Fewer than 15 completed credits. To register for seven or<br />

more credits, an advisor’s signature is required. Ask the advisor<br />

for your PIN to register online (see OASIS.)<br />

b. 15 or more completed credits. Faculty advising is strongly<br />

recommended but not required. Use your global PIN to<br />

register.<br />

c. Running Start and International Students must meet with<br />

their advisor each quarter prior to registration, select courses,<br />

and receive their quarterly PIN and entry codes.<br />

Entry codes may be obtained from your advisor and expire after one use. The<br />

code provides a way for you to register online or in person for: (a) a class that<br />

requires instructor permission, or (b) a class that has a pre-requisite block.<br />

Prerequisite block<br />

Some classes require completion of a prerequisite. See class listings for specific<br />

prerequisites. Also see “What is an assessment?” for more information on<br />

English and mathematics prerequisites. If the prerequisite was completed at<br />

another college/university, present the appropriate transcript to the faculty or<br />

Student Entry and Advising Center advisor to obtain permission to enroll.<br />

2 Plan your class schedule.<br />

3 Register online at www.olympic.edu/OASIS<br />

• Click on “Register or add/drop a class”<br />

• Log in: Enter SID (860XXXXXX)<br />

• Enter registration PIN as your birth date (50179 if May, 1979)<br />

or your global PIN if you changed it, or a special PIN number<br />

given to you by your advisor.<br />

• Click on “Continue”<br />

• Enter item numbers of class selections<br />

• Click on “Submit add/drop” (Your new class schedule will<br />

appear on the screen)<br />

• Click on “Finish”<br />

TIP: print your schedule for reference.<br />

4 Pay tuition and fees online, in person, or by phone within two<br />

business days.<br />

Residency Requirements<br />

To be eligible to pay resident tuition, a student must be a U.S. citizen or<br />

permanent resident, who:<br />

• Is financially independent AND<br />

• Has established a domicile in Washington state for other than<br />

educational purposes for a period of at least 12 months prior to the<br />

state date of the quarter OR<br />

• Is a dependent student whose parents or legal guardians have maintained<br />

a domicile in Washington state for at least 12 months prior to the start<br />

date of the quarter AND<br />

• Who further meets and complies with the applicable requirements of<br />

WAC 250-18-030 and 250-18-035<br />

SB1079. Individuals who are not permanent residents or U.S. citizens<br />

MAY qualify for resident tuition, if they have or will have graduated from a<br />

Washington state high school or, while living in Washington, have received<br />

the equivalent of a high school diploma. Additional criteria are required.<br />

Contact the Admissions Office for more information.<br />

Military personnel stationed in Washington State and their dependents who<br />

present military ID at registration will be granted a waiver of non-resident<br />

tuition and will be charged at the resident rate.<br />

Restrictions<br />

If your schedule contains a restriction, the class or wait list may be removed<br />

from your schedule. Restrictions are:<br />

• Course conflicts. You cannot wait list for a class that has the same<br />

discipline and course number.<br />

• Time conflict. You cannot wait list a class if the time conflicts with<br />

an enrolled class. This restriction includes overlapping start and end<br />

times.<br />

• Limit of three wait lists for any quarter<br />

TIME TO REGISTER<br />

Each student is assigned a “time to register” based on the number of<br />

credits completed plus officially transferred credits listed on the OC<br />

transcript. Students may register on or after their assigned “time to<br />

register.”<br />

Go to : “Find my time to register” on OASIS www.olympic.edu/OASIS<br />

• Former students<br />

Call 360.475.7200 to receive a “time to register” or visit the<br />

registration office at any campus.<br />
