DASSAULT AVIATION<br />

1.5.2 Customer support and services<br />

In <strong>2010</strong>, the Group:<br />

• restructured its approved FALCON maintenance<br />

center network and augmented its capacity in<br />

Asia,<br />

• obtained from the French Government the In<br />

Service Support Package (MCO - "Maintien en<br />

Condition Opérationnelle") contract for military<br />

aircraft other than the RAFALE.<br />

1.5.3 Subsidiary activities<br />

• DASSAULT FALCON JET (United States): this<br />

company markets FALCON jets and is responsible<br />

for their interior fittings.<br />

The company is headquartered in Teterboro,<br />

New Jersey, while industrial activities are located<br />

in Little Rock, Arkansas.<br />

Its subsidiaries are:<br />

- DASSAULT FALCON JET - WILMINGTON, an<br />

aviation maintenance and service company,<br />

located in Wilmington (Delaware),<br />

- DASSAULT AIRCRAFT SERVICES, responsible<br />

for promoting aircraft maintenance and<br />

service sales in the United States, also located<br />

in Wilmington (Delaware),<br />

- APRO (50/50 joint venture with Messier-<br />

Services Inc.), responsible for the repair and<br />

maintenance of FALCON and ATR landing<br />

gear and flight controls. The company’s<br />

facility is located in Deerfield Beach, Florida.<br />

• DASSAULT FALCON SERVICE (France),<br />

based at Le Bourget airport, contributes to<br />

FALCON support activities by:<br />

- providing maintenance to FALCON aircraft in<br />

operation,<br />

- leasing and managing of FALCON aircraft as<br />

part of public transport activities.<br />

• DASSAULT PROCUREMENT SERVICES<br />

(United States) is the central purchasing hub<br />

in the United States for FALCON aviation<br />

equipment.<br />

• MIDWAY (United States) ensures the<br />

overhaul and repair of civil aviation equipment<br />

for French OEMs, suppliers for FALCONs or other<br />

aircraft.<br />

• SOGITEC INDUSTRIES (France) operates in<br />

the simulation and documentation sectors.<br />

1.5.4 Affiliates<br />

• CORSE COMPOSITES AÉRONAUTIQUES<br />

(France) is specialized in the production of<br />

aviation parts made from composite materials, in<br />

particular for its corporate shareholders (EADS<br />

AIRBUS, LATECOERE, SNECMA and DASSAULT<br />

AVIATION).<br />

• EMBRAER (Brazil), a major player in the<br />

aviation industry, enables the Group to maintain<br />

its presence in South America, and particularly in<br />

Brazil. We consider our investment in EMBRAER<br />

as strategic.<br />

• THALES (France), operates on the aviation and<br />

aerospace, defense and security markets. Its<br />

activities are described in its reference notice.<br />

1.6 Research and Development<br />

Upstream of the programs, to prepare the future,<br />

we focus on research into aircraft concepts,<br />

technological developments and the improvement of<br />

our end-to-end processes.<br />

Several stages in the overall Group plans preparing<br />

for the next generation of FALCON aircraft with<br />

innovative technologies have been passed,<br />

including:<br />

• definition and assessment of new operational<br />

approach procedures,<br />

• definition of new ground control laws,<br />

• identification of major cockpit noise sources,<br />

• laminarity measurements on a Falcon 7X tail unit.<br />
