SCOTT VERTABRAE PROTECTIVE TECHNOLOGY 

The Scott Vertebrae Protective technology combines innovative hard outer plates with a structural layering system allowing the protector to move with your body. The plate system mimics the vertebrae 

articulating in 3 axes to ensure free lateral, extension and compression movements resulting in complete freedom of movement and the highest level of protection. Our system passed a level 2 CE 1621-2 motorcycle 

standard making it one of the highest rated protective systems available todAy. 

FuLLY ARTICuLATED HARD 

PLATES 

Hard plates are made from a plastic material 

known for high resistance to shock and 

abrasion. The plates are connected using an 

innovative rivet system allowing the plates to 

flex with the body. The added, unrestricted 

flex, maximizes comfort and freedom of 

movement. Protectors equipped with fully 

articulated hard plates offer the highest level 

of safety without sacrificing comfort and 

performance. 

HONEYCOmB LAYER 

The lightweight honeycomb layer protects 

against high-energy impact and increases 

breathability. 

STRuCTuRAL FOAm LAYER 

The structural foam layer promotes 

movement and flexibility, engaging when 

necessary to protect and distribute shocks 

over the entire protective surface.

ARTICuLATED HARD PLATES 

Hard plates are made from a plastic material 

known for high resistance to shock and 

abrasion. The plates are connected using 

an innovative sliding system, which allow 

the plates to move in multiple directions 

providing freedom of movement and 

comfort. 

HONEYCOmB LAYER 

The lightweight honeycomb layer protects 

against high-energy impact and increases 

breathability. 

ERGONOmICALLY SHAPED FOAm 

LINER 

Ergonomics and riding comfort are achieved 

thanks to an engineered flex zone located on 

the lower part of the foam liner, stretchable 

fabrics and non-obtrusive foam padding.

D3O ARTICuLATED PLATES 

d3o intelligent shock absorption is a patented shock absorbing material engineered 

with intelligent molecules. It is a rate-sensitive material, meaning when moved slowly 

the molecules flow freely, making it soft and flexible. At high speeds (like an impact) 

the molecules lock together, making the material an excellent shock absorber. 

unique to SCOTT, our protector is built utilizing three, fully articulated, 12mm in 

thickness, low profile d3oplates. Increase air circulation is achieved due to hexagonal 

holes located throughout the plateS 

STRuCTuRAL ABSORPTION LAYER IN DEFLEXION : 

DEFLEXION technology, a shock absorbing, high performance material, uses 

silicone technology to create unique impact protection solutions. It provides 

protection without the stiffness of traditional padding and body armor. As part of 

the CR Soft Flex System, DEFLEXION provides greater comfort than traditional 

materials without compromising protection, and is breathable and washable.

The plates on the Soft Flex CRX are built using threeinterlocked 

d3o plates that follow the natural curve of 

your back flexing freely as you move. 

The liner in Deflexion material offers a second layer of 

protection. The liner is constructed using 

3 dimensional spacer fabrics impregnated with specially 

formulated silicones. The two layers are assembled 

using strategically placed straps to minimize restriction 

and fit comfortably.

The new CR Soft Flex CRX is designed 

using vented materials and has several 

opening throughout the protector 

allowing for adequate airflow. Air 

is well circulated thanks to the 

hexagonal holes found in the d3o 

material and open weave structure in 

Deflexion. 

ADJuSTABILITY OF THE 

VEST 

The vest can be adjusted to fit a wide 

range of sizes: 

- The upper straps on the shoulders 

allow the rider to adjust how the 

protector fits on the back. 

- The side straps allow the protector 

to fit securely against the rider’s 

body. 

The half vest system is designed to 

alleviate abdominal pressure and 

increases comfort.

BACK PROTECTOR SCOTT X ACTIVE 

The SCOTT X Active back protector utilizes a plate system that follows the natural curve of your back. Interlocking plates, engineered with flex zones in critical 

areas, slide easily when compressing and extending allowing your body to move freely. 

THE RIGHT FLEX AT THE RIGHT PLACE 

Flex zones were added in areas where the body flexes the most 

and requires unrestricted movement. The flex zone located 

on the lower part of the protector was designed using longer 

slots, connecting plates that allow the lumbar part of your 

back to move freely assuring your body has ample freedom of 

movement.

To maintain flex and breathability, excess foam has been 

removed and concentrated in areas where protection is needed 

the most. The foam layers used are articulated causing minimal 

interference when standing up straight, but come together for 

full coverage of the spine, as well as providing your upper and 

lower back full protection. 

BREATHABILITY 

you won’t overheat, since air can easily pass through the 

protector’s lightweight perforated plates. 

FIT 

The Velcro belt system has a double adjustment, providing a 

versatile unrestricted fit. The X Active system has a shoulder 

strap and vest system specially designed to fit women.
