eibPort device as a gateway the building automation with 

Ethernet (LAN/WAN) and Home-Entertainment. So it is e. g. 

possible to switch a beamer or start the preferred mp3 playlist 

by using a push button. Moreover the eibPort serves for 

visualisation and control of the whole electric installation. The 

setup of the device is as well simple as also intuitive. 

The access to the EIB/KNX ® bus system can be realised 

locally or via remote access by Laptop, Web Pad, PC or Smart 

Phone. The only thing requisite is a standard Internet browser. 

Integrated services allow implementing self-acting functionalities 

as timer function, scenes, logical functions etc. without 

starting an additional visualization.

For monitoring purposes network cameras can be integrated 

into the visualization. Messages (e. g. faults, housebreaking 

alarms) are sent as E-mail and/or SMS to your mobile phone. 

By means of the facility coupling functionality spaced real 

estate’s can be joined to one central (even in case of overlapping 

address ranges). Remote programming of EIB/KNX ® - 

devices via ETS is possible too. 

The device is mounted in a common power distribution cabinet.

Eight versions of eibPort 

The new eibPort Version 3 offers spaces for two communication 

modules. In the standard versions KNX ® , EnOcean ® 

or Powernet KNX ® the device is equipped with one module 

each. Available are KNX ® , EnOcean ® and GSM ® module.

Smart and highly available 

This Touch Panel PC features fan less Low-Energy-Technology, 

Hardware according to industrial standard, high performance 

and integrated microphone and speakers. 

The Panel PC is equipped with a 30 GB SSD-HDD 2 2.5" 

S-ATA. The available operating systems are Windows ® 7 embedded, 

Windows ® 7 Professional or Windows ® XP embedded. 

Due to the pre-installed software «Control T» the panel is 

immediately ready for use as a central information point. This 

software integrates building’s visualization, Internet, Email 

and Multimedia control within one surface. 

Optionally an «intercom» can be integrated by using additional 

hardware Voice Performance module and additional 

software HomeIntercom. Moreover a camera (including privacy 

functionality) can be integrated as accessory at the top 


of the chassis. Using additional software TV / Radio together 

with the Dreambox DM600 the Touch Panel even serves as 

television and / or radio device. 

An additional highlight offers the version with capacitive 

touch display and a mounting mechanism for the flush installation. 

With the capacitive version the frame is integrated 

into the monitor, so that a continuous glass surface exists. 

A special mounting frame is been conjoined with the wall box 

and allows a flush mounting installation, this is either valid for 

the capacitive as well as for the model with the traditional 

add-on frame.

Basis module 

The basis-module contains of a uniform user interface with individually 

adjustable navigation bar. With it the different functions 

of the HomeIntercom software modules are browsed, 

familiar to other software products running in Windows 7. 

The integration is supported by several menus for setting up 

and so facilitates the visualization and operation/control of 

solutions for building automation, Multiroom-Audio/ Video 

(Revox, Squeezebox Server and Sonos), alarm systems control, 

E-mail programs etc. The Basis Module already contains a lot 

of helpful tools and functionalities e. g. browser for internet 

access inclusive on-screen keyboard, picture gallery and info 

services with the latest news from politics, sports, finance, 

movie, etc. 

Camera module 

Linking and visualization of video cameras becomes very 

simple. IP cameras can be connected directly while analogue 

cameras need an additional video server. Pictures 

and streams are displayed in the consistent user interface. 

Different templates including preview and full screen mode 

are available. The high- performance software module serves 

for excellent video quality. A comfortable setup supports all 

phases of linking. Camera setup parameters for many leading 

manufacturers e. g. Axis, Mobotix, Panasonic – are already 

preinstalled. If not preinstalled set up can be done manually.

Videophone module (In combination with Voice 

Performance module) 

The Videophone module is a high- performance VoIP-Video 

inter phone, connectable to all usual door stations (a/bcapable) 

by all leading manufacturers such as Siedle, Ritto, 

Gira, Elcom. Prerequisite is the basis/camera-module and 

the optional Voice Performance module for brilliant voice 

quality. The connection is realised by a VoIP-TK-installation. As 

accessory the Auerswald VoIP 3000 is already preconfigured 

including modified firmware. The VoIP-TK-installation upgrades 

the Videophone to a multifunctional telephone. With 

the optional camera-module a video telephone is realised. 

The integration is supported by several menus for setting up 

with preset parameters. 

TV / Radio 

TV / Radio Module 

The TV/Radio module upgrades your HomeIntercom to a 

modern TV and Radio device. As DVB-S/T/C-receiver the 

Dreambox DM 600 by Dream Multimedia is recommended. 

Broadcast stations are detected automatically and are sorted 

and grouped within the program list as wanted. The module 

can be browsed by an intuitive menu within the consistent 

HomeIntercom user interface.

The panels can be mounted fast thanks to their VESA-mounting 

unit and are ready for use at once. The solid stainless 

steel housing is build according to protection class IP 65. 

Nevertheless it has an installation depth of just 6 cm. The 

device is working fan less with a TFT LCD screen. Some field 

for application are department stores, DIY superstores and 

industrial buildings. As operating system Windows XP embedded 

is preinstalled on 4 GB Flash card.

15,6", 18,5" 

These panels captivate with their high-class piano varnish 

look. They have a continuous front surface which is framed 

with massive aluminium. Having an installation depth of just 

4,8 cm they are extremely flat. The narrow-edged white (or 

black) back grounded frame is hardly apparent when mounted 

on a wall. Nevertheless the surface complies with IP 65! A 

wide screen LED LCD serves as display. The touch display is set 

up as a resistive multi touch and is prepared for gesture control. 

As processor an Intel Pineview Dual Core (D525 with 1,8 

GHz) is used. Anyhow the device is working fan less! Some 

field for application are receptions, salesrooms, hospitals but 

also the e-home. 

A 21,5 inch version is in preparation and will be available 

soon.

instead of 9,6 kbit/s. Within one line up to 512 channels 

can be addressed and controlled. This technology is widely 

spread and so quite affordable.DMX is also used for control 

of RGB-LED lights. Due to this the DUO DMX Gateway is able 

to control coloured lights and light gradients of diverse LED 

luminaries by using e. g. KNX ® pushbuttons. Switching and 

dimming of single luminaries is possible too. The gateway has 

2 separate outputs each having 512 DMX-channels and so is 

able to control 2 independent DMX installations. 

The EnOcean ® version is excellently suitable for retrofitting 

of installations. So the device is designed as ceiling mounted 

variant and can be mounted easily through the cut-out of a 

LV-halogen spot. Using the optionally DIN-Rail bar clip the 

device can be mounted in the distribution box alternatively. 

Therefore the cover plates just have to be snapped off. 

32 I Hardware 

For programming of sequences the software DMX-Configurator 

is used. This software is free of charge. The particular 

steps are set by virtual sliders and stored consecutively then. 

The steps also can be set online if the luminaries are connected 

to the gateway. Several steps results in a light scene. Light 

scenes can be linked to sequences which can be triggered by 

group addresses or EnOcean ® profiles. The assignment of the 

group addresses is realised by importing the ETS data export 

file (esf file) into the software. Moreover the software serves 

for setting and allocation the IP parameters. The configuration 

data is either transferred comfortably over the network 

connection or with the help of a SD card into the device. 

Another useful and helpful feature is the possibility to run 

the device by PoE (Power over Ethernet). By this the cabling 

efforts are obviated and so the system is optimally suitable for 

as well first installation as also retrofitting.

The device is available in 4 versions: 

• Extension: The device is an add-on for the eibPort (KNX ®
