CATALOGUE METHODOLOGY
For the purpose of this catalogue, State buildings include Government
offices, garda stations, Leinster House, Dublin Castle, Government
Buildings, Áras an Uachtaráin, Irish embassies abroad, certain cultural
institutions, other prestige buildings, the Four Courts and certain other
Court facilities.
Within each category, the entries are arranged under artist's surname in
order of date of acquisition.
The following information is available on each art work:
1. Title of work. Date of work where available.
2. Name of artist.
3. Medium. Edition number if relevant.
4. Dimensions in centimetres, height preceding width and depth. Unframed
measurements (U) preceding framed (F) and plate (P) measurements.
5. Date of acquisition.
6. Accession number from the Office of Public Works art database.
