Today elderly people are one of most vulnerable groups in Central and Eastern European
societies. On reaching a certain age they often find themselves facing a variety of risks
such as disability, financial deprivation, and a loss of usual social networks. Our programs
for elderly people and those in need of care aim to improve living conditions, stabilize
elderly people’s living standards, and promote active longevity. Some of them simply provide
people with the essentials for survival.
Our homes for elderly as well as voluntary home care programs and soup kitchens all
represent our desire to respect elderly people as a valuable and precious group within
our society and to bridge the still existing gaps in the social security systems for the most
vulnerable.
