Baghdad (AIN) -The Iraqi parliament lifted<br />

its regular session of Sunday till tomorrow<br />

Monday.<br />

MP Mutashar al-Samarrai, of the Iraqiya<br />

Slate told AIN on Sunday "The parliament<br />

chairmanship decided to lift the session till<br />

next Monday after voting on a number of<br />

law drafts and completing the discussions<br />

with the Independent High electoral<br />

Commission over the decision of<br />

postponing the local elections in Anbar<br />

and Nineveh provinces."<br />

Baghdad (AIN) -MP Mohamed Kiani of<br />

parliament Change bloc called the Iraqi<br />

Premier, Nouri al-Maliki to resign from his<br />

post since Iraq needs reliable government<br />

to stabilize the security and provide<br />

services.<br />

Kiani stated to All Iraq News Agency "The<br />

country lacks government as the<br />

government means existence of a<br />

programme which is not found in Iraq, so<br />

the current government is failed."<br />

"Maliki has to quit since he is not able to<br />

address the deteriorated security and<br />

service situations in the country," he<br />

added.<br />

Araji calls to put end to Nijaifi's<br />

Baghdad (AIN) -MP Qasim al-Araji, of<br />

parliament Badir bloc called the Iraqi<br />

political blocs to put an end to the<br />

Speaker, Osama al-Nijaifi's autocracy in<br />

chairing the parliament's sessions.<br />

Araji showed his surprise over "Nijaifi's<br />

reviewing for statements of security<br />

leaders dated for the last year about the<br />

security situation in Nineveh."<br />

He added "Displaying these statements<br />

aims to mislead the MPs while summoning<br />

the Independent High Electoral<br />

Commission at the parliament to discuss<br />

the decision of postponing the local<br />

elections in Anbar and Nineveh<br />

provinces."<br />

The parliament has discussed with the<br />

IHEC officials the decision of postponing<br />

Anbar and Nineveh's local elections during<br />

Sunday regular session.<br />
